Hobbywing EzRun Max10 ESC & 36xx sensorless motors

Hobbywing have introduced the new EzRun Max10 sensorless brushless speed controller and the EzRun 3652 and 3660 G2 sensorless brushless motors. Starting with the controller, designed for bashers and fun racing, the Max10 utilises a range of protection features such as ESC capacitor thermal, water and also over temperature protection for the motor – the latter is taken care off by an additional wire that plugs right into motors such as the new EzRun 36xx G2 series. Furthermore the controller makes use of a heavy duty 6V/7.4V BEC system andit sports a protected on/off switch to ensure reliability even in dusty conditions. The 3S LiPo-compatible speedo can be adjusted using the internal set button but also HW’s LED and LCD program box as well as the WiFi module.

Xray Racing Series Slovakia – Announcement

The world-renown Hudy Racing Arena in Trencin will play host to the Xray Racing Series Slovakia over the Winter season of 2016/17. Starting at the 5th of November the 6-race series will be held in the classes of Touring Modified, Touring Stock 13.5, 1/10th Pan Car, 1/12th Pan Car, Formula 21.5 as well as off-road 2WD, 4WD and 2WD Truck. Hönigl crowned double Austrian 1/10th Buggy champ

The 2016 Austrian Electric Off-road National Championship recently concluded with round five held at the WBC Hoheneich club in the north of the country. As one round was cancelled due to rain this was actually the forth round and was local hero, Roland Macho (Xray) who excelled in the 4WD Buggy class by taking the TQ in all qualifying rounds to leave Martin Kreil (TLR) and Hupo Hönigl (Xray) behind in second and third respectively.

Malin Karlsen sweeps OMK Fall Classic Rd4

The fourth round of the OMK Fall Classic 2WD Buggy race series was held under floodlight at the OMK astro turf track. The race format was open practice followed by three qualifiers and triple mains. Xray’s Malin Karlsen swept the qualifiers to take a dominant TQ with the only 15-laps run of the evening and she also brought home an easy win in the opening A-main. A2 was a different affair though as her buggy got hit from behind in the first corner and so she dropped down the order but with some swift laps she easily recovered to get back into the lead and to take the win and with it the overall victory at round 4 from Serpent driver Marius Kristensen and Team Associated pilot Morten Bremsrud.

Tasos Paparegas wins Greek Off-road Nationals Rd4

Round four of the Greek Off-road National Championship was held at the Hobbytech track. Tasos Paparegas was the man to beat as he won all qualifiers to take the top qualifier position. In the main final he would smash the competition by taking home the win some two laps in front of runner-up, Makropoulos while also setting a new track record. Papanikolaou would round out the top 3 podium result.

Northwest Carpet Off-road Invitational – Announcement

With the huge success from last year’s Northwest Astro Invitational, Casey Vitale of Northwest Hobbies and Kyosho America/Team Orion USA team manager Joe Pillars have brought the event back for 2016 – this time on carpet. The 2016 Northwest Carpet Off-Road Invitational will be held at the newly renovated Northwest Hobbies in Albany, Oregon on October 22nd to 23rd with the event already received sign-ups from the likes of AE’s Ryan Cavalieri, TLR’s Dustin Evans, and Kyosho’s Tanner Day to name just a few. The two day event will consist of four 5-minute qualifiers on Saturday and 5-minute triple A-main events on Sunday. Classes run are Invitational 2WD Mod, 2WD Mod, 4WD Mod, Pro Stock 17.5 non-boost, Stock 17.5T non-boost, Stock Truck 13.5T non-boost and Novice. To enter yourself in the 2WD Modified Invitational class, please email Joe Pillars (joepillars@hotmail.com). For all other classes, sign-ups will be available at the track on Friday of the event.
