Losi XL-range aluminium shock towers & chassis braces

Losi have introduced new aluminium option parts for the DBXL and MTXL range of large scale kits. First up are front and rear shock towers cut from high-quality aluminium and coming black anodised and with silver chamfered edges. The parts incorporate several mounting positions for the shock absorbers and camber links and they include all needed mounting hardware. Available separately the shock towers are usable on both the DBXL buggy and MTXL truck.

Muchmore Impact Linear LCG 5200mAh 4S LiPo battery

Coming from Muchmore is the new Impact Linear LCG FD2 5200mAh 14.8V LiPo battery pack. Offering a reduced height of 36mm the 4S pack is build from high-performance 110C cells for high power output in demanding racing conditions. The lower height compared to standard 4S packs makes for an overall lower centre of gravity, resulting in faster cornering of both off-road and on-road cars. The pack comes pre-wired with 10AWG wire, a T-type plug and an XH balancer connector.

Pro-Line adds realism with concrete 1:10 K-Rail

Pro-Line have introduced the True Scale concrete 1/10th K-Rail. Adding realism to any scale scene the K-Rails are good for the use as chicanes for off-road racing, race borders and obstacles for drifting, start and finish line borders for rock racing and rock crawling events, scale construction scene objects and borders, scale freeway dividers, or as a great way to display scale RC models. These K-rails will add an instant sense of scale dimension to any application. As a true-scale representation of the full size K-Rails they are made of real concrete and reinforced with steel rebar. They are easily paintable to fit right into any scene, be it stark white with high visibility for a race or construction scene, or to take it underground by adding street art or graffiti.

JConcepts RC8T3 Finnisher bodyshell

JConcepts have introduced the Finnisher bodyshell for the Team Associated RC8T3 and T3e. Winner of the 2016 ROAR National Championship in the hands of Spencer Rivkin, the body features a slight cab forward, raked windshield and aggressive stance. A wide front hood scoop allows plenty of clearance for front suspension and the body incorporates a large center fin which begins on the roof line and finishes just past the half-way point on the bed. An extended front chin spoiler, headlight and grill protect the front-end from unwanted up-drafts during flight. The body incorporates pre-dimpled body post locations and it also includes champion rear name plates which provide additional high-speed stability and improved positioning of the rear bed rails to strengthen the assembly. Overall handling has been improved by balancing the bias between the cab location and rear wing placement which control the majority of the aero affects of the aggressively styled body.

Azarashi Optima 2016 CVD driveshafts

Coming from Azarashi and made for the Kyosho Optima 2016 are front and rear CVD driveshafts. Constructed from high-quality spring steel and being of a rebuildable design the driveshafts also use C-clip drive pin retainers for improved durability and security. The 61mm driveshafts are sold as pairs and they are usable both in the front and the rear of Kyosho’s re-release buggy.

Serpent release new Cobra SRX8 shock springs

Available now from Serpent is a new range of shock springs specially made for the Cobra SRX8 buggy. Made from a new spring steel material, coming with a different surface treatment and less springs compared to the previous ones the springs will up the on-track performance of the buggy and they are also usable on the older Cobra 811 as well as other brand buggies. The springs come as colour-coded 4.5lbs to 5.5lbs front and 3.0lbs to 4.0lbs rear variant and they are also available in two combo packages containing all six front or all six rear springs.

Kristof Dehert wins at Belgian Zolder Race

The recent Zolder Race in Belgium saw Kristof Dehert walking away with the win in the four 6-minute 2WD A-main events. Starting from the 2 spot, Kristof was able to secure one win and two second places to finish the day on the top spot from Nik Weyers and Tom Buekers in second and third respectively. In the 4WD class, Eric Michiels took the win from Gunther Lambrechts and Patrick Lievens.

Martin Bayer successful at Czech Open Rd7

The seventh round of the Czech Open series was held on the technical Kolin track. The weekend started off with free practice on Friday followed by the qualifiers on Saturday and with overnight rain making the track more grippy it was clear that the opening qualifier would be decisive. The overall TQ then went to Xray’s Martin Bayer who posted the fastest times in all rounds from Jiri Mara (Serpent) in second and Kaja Novotny in third. Xray young guns Milan Mudra and Max Gotzl came in fourth and fifth.
