Exotek Rock Rey HD shock tower & top plate

Coming from Exotek and made for the Losi Rock Rey are a HD front shock tower set and a HD carbon fibre top plate. Starting with the front shock tower set, the kit is a replacement for the stock plastic tower and machined from billet 7075 alloy and 5mm thick genuine carbon fibre to ensure the durability needed for heavy duty off-road excursions. It is a direct bolt-on design with great looks for any customised race machine.

Eric Jones wins at Midwest Series/Heart of America

Celebrating the 50th year of America’s longest standing series, the Midwest Series came to Lincoln Nebraska this past weekend to join forces with the Heart of America Series. In Open 1/8th scale it was Brad Mergy with the overall TQ from Eric Jones, the latter taking the win in the 30-minute main final, fending off Lon Burling for the win. Lon had to settle for 2nd, some 3.6 seconds down as Brad came in 3rd to round out the podium.

VSR Easy Diff Builder tool

VSR Products have introduced their new Easy Diff Builder tool that fits all common 1/10 scale ball differential components 3/32” or smaller. It is designed to hold all of the diff balls in the main compartment, and then allows them to pour out the track in a single file line. VSR recommend tipping the Easy Ball Diff Builder over the greased diff gear, and tapping lightly on it to allow only one ball to exit at a time. Diff balls are not included of course.

Schumacher BTCC Rd1 – Report

The 2019 Schumacher BTCC kicked off at the Bedworth track in the UK this past weekend. The weather was dry for almost all of the day except with some rain mixing it up during the last couple of finals. Olly Jefferies took the TQ in the Touring Modified class and he also walked away with the win in the A-main from Kyle Branson in 2nd and Michael Johnson in 3rd.

Merlin Depta wins at West German IC Track regionals Rd3

The third round of the West German IC Track regionals, qualifiers foe the German Nationals, was held at the Dormagen track over the weekend. In the premier 1/8th IC Track Class 1 it was Steven Cuypers from The Netherlands with the overall TQ from Merlin Depta on the 2 spot. The 30-minute main final then saw Serpent driver Merlin holding the upper hand, taking the win some seven seconds in front of Robbin Hertong (ARC) as Tobias Hepp (Serpent) came in 3rd to round out the podium. Top qualifier Steven suffered and DNF and only came in 8th place.

Joni Skidmore wins at SRS Rd3

The third round of the SRS was held at the Slough track in the UK this past weekend. Agama’s Joni Skidmore took the win in the Nitro Buggy class piloting the new A319 with SWorkz’s Kevin Brunsden on the 2 spot, some 26 seconds pack. A lap down Taro Cradock (Kyosho) completed the top 3 result.

Bittydesign Vertigo 1/10th buggy rear wing

Coming from Bittydesign is their all-new Vertigo rear win for 1/10th scale buggies. A universal fit for most of today’s 2WD and 4WD buggies the wing is the result of many months of testing and design to produce exceptional downforce – with the aerodynamic drag being adjustable thanks to different gurney flap cutting lines. The wing is available moulded from tough 1.5mm or lightweight 1.0mm polycarbonate with two wings include in every pack. Also up for grabs is a pre-cut variant – the latter coming in 1-piece packs.

Burak Kilic wins at North German Off-road regionals

The third round of the North German 1/8th Off-road regionals was held in Braunschweig this part weekend. In 1/8th Nitro Buggy it was Agama’s Burak Kilic, piloting the new A319 buggy, with the win in the main final from Marcel Paul on the 2 spot. TLR’s Henrik Steiner came in 3rd to round out the podium.
