STRC introduce Arrma 2WD aluminium option parts

ST Racing Concepts have introduced a range of aluminium option parts for Arrma’s line of 1/10th scale 2WD vehicles. The range focuses on the suspension components with CNC-machined aluminium rear hub carriers, caster blocks, as well as hinge-pin blocks and steering knuckles that uses larger 5x11mm outer bearings. These components not only add to the visual apperance, but vastly improve the durability of the Arrma cars. Available in anodised blue, gun metal and red the parts fit the Granite, Raider, Vorteks and Fury with more parts to come in the near future.

Adam Drake successful at Novarossi Challenge

Last weekend Barnstormers R/C Raceway hosted the annual Novarossi Challenge. Also know as the Big Apple Challenge, the event hosted the best drivers from the east coast as well as Adam Drake, Ryan Lutz, and Cole Ogden. Adam Drake won his 20-minute buggy semi final and started on pole for the 45 minute final. Drake controlled the race from start to finish after a battle early with Mugen Seiki teammate Cole Ogden. In the end, Drake took the victory by over a lap.

Raceform 1/10th rear wing assists

Raceform have introduced pre-cut wing attachments for 1/10th scale off-road buggy wings. Adding the part to any rear wing will improve stability at high speed and also on corner exit with the U-bend attachments coming pre-cut and with various mounting holes already milled out. The assists fit most wings, both screw and body clip mounting styles and they come in packs of two or eight pieces.

Kyosho MP9 “high” front shock stays & upper arm mount

Kyosho’s own Yuichi Kanai had released first images of forthcoming option parts for the MP9 1/8th off-road buggy. First up are the new aluminium hard front shock stays in S and MS configuration and incorporating a high mounting position for the upper arm mount. The shock stays come CNC-machined, hard-anodised and with laser-etched markings for easy identification. The short shock tower has to be used with S-size shocks while the medium-short tower is to be used with MS-size shocks. Both offer updated mounting positions for the third new part, the high mount front upper arm holder. The alloy part lifts the upper suspension pins by 2mm, resulting in improved yet smoother steering. All three parts will become available in September.

Kyosho release more RB6.6 images

Following first teaser images released yesterday, Kyosho have issued more detailed photos of the forthcoming RB6.6 1/10th 2WD off-road buggy. Based off of a longer wheelbase chassis the car’s most important feature is the very versatile gearbox layout with a rear motor and a total of three mid motor configurations, – including 3-gear, 4-gear, and laydown – being usable right out of the box. Beside the changeable transmission design the buggy also allows for a range of battery configurations to be run as are inline or transversally mounted shorty LiPos in mid motor as well as straight and saddle packs for the mid and rear motor layouts. The suspension components are taken over from the previous RB6 by the looks of things and the kit comes with a new high-downforce body to fit the 13mm longer chassis.

JConcepts release new B6-series Shapeways items

JConcepts has added two Team Associated B6 and B6D items to their Shapeways store. The first being a lower front wing mount which is popular in certain conditions and configures perfectly with the JConcepts lower front wing. The second is a rear body mount flange which assists in maintaining rear body height while running the vehicle in the front shock configuration on the B6 lay-down transmission vehicle. Axial SCX10 II 2000 Jeep Cherokee RTR

Axial’s all-new SCX10 II 1/10th 4WD off-road vehicle is now also available in an RTR variant including the 2000 Jeep Cherokee bodyshell. Coming fully assembled and loaded with features such as the AR44 hi-pinion axles, all-steel suspension links, universal axles, and 1.9 Method mesh wheels the truck also includes a 2.4GHz radio system, 3-channel receiver, waterproof AE-5 speed controller and water resistant metal gear steering servo. All that is topped of by a pre-painted Jeep Cherokee bodyshell.

Kyosho Ultima RB6.6 – Teaser

Kyosho have released first information on the forthcoming Ultima RB6.6 1/10th 2WD buggy. The follow-up version of the World Championship winning RB6 will feature a new wide 7075 aluminium chassis in a long wheelbase configuration, adding 13mm on length compared to the standard RB6, making for improved stability. Right out of the package the 6.6 comes with a total of four gearbox configurations: rear motor and three mid motor layouts including stand-up 3-gear, stand-up 4-gear and low rider 3-gear. The battery tray system is usable with a range of battery configurations including straight type, shorty and saddle packs batteries. Also part of the package is a new steering crank design, Velvet-coated shock absorbers, front straight and rear gull-wing A-arms as well as a new high downforce cab forward bodyshell.
