Takashima D-13 Mi10 High-Strength 3D Printed Bumper

New from Takashima D-13 comes this high-strength 3D composite printed front bumper designed specifically for Schumacher’s new Mi10 and previous Mi9 touring car platforms.  The bumper features an innovative dual-durometer composite structure engineered for maximum protection and performance.  The outer perimeter is printed using a high-strength premium material to provide superior overall rigidity and resistance to deformation.  This ensures the bumper maintains its structural integrity during high-speed impacts while evenly distributing forces across the chassis.  In contrast, the inner energy-absorbing core utilises a flexible TPU honeycomb matrix.  This design delivers a progressive compression effect upon impact, effectively absorbing and dampening crash energy to protect critical components such as the main chassis, front shock tower, and bulkheads.  Compared to traditional solid composite bumpers, this dual-material design offers vastly superior crash protection while weighing in at a lightweight 10.2 grams.  Additionally, its rapid rebound characteristics minimise car bounce and disruption immediately following a deflection, significantly improving on-track stability and long-term durability.

Kyosho Mini-Z ‘Carpet Track 50’

With its urethane “Grand Prix Circuit 50′ track the gold standard for Mini-Z and 1:28 racing for decades, Kyosho has just unveiled the ‘Mini-Z Carpet Track 50’ track system which is made using specialised carpet material.  With the basic set containing 40 pieces, the biggest highlight of the new track is its 5mm thick sublime grip making it the perfect home circuit, but it’s also great for gathering with friends to set up a pop-up track in a meeting room or recreational facility for racing.  The joints have been redesigned to be easier to install, instead of using screw holes it now features an Easy Lock – just a 60-degree twist of the joint.  Just like the urethane ‘Grand Prix Circuit 50’, a full line-up of Expansion Sets, Large Corners, and 90-degree Fence Sets are being released simultaneously, giving you total freedom over your course layouts.  A much slimmer track material the new Mini-Z Carpet Track 50 is not compatible with the conventional track.

Reflex Racing MF-1 ABS Plastic Body Set

Texas based 1:28 Specialists Reflex Racing has unveiled its all new MF-1 ABS Plastic body set.  The result of many years of experience in Aero and Chassis design,  when setting out to create this body they wanted to have a highly detailed, scale model that was easy to drive fast. They say that his has been achieved by making the body super low CG, with low overhangs and subtle aerodynamic design elements to make transitions fast, rotation hard and high speeds with lots of stability.  They have blended that with adjust-ability, versatility and lots of inside and wheel arch clearance so that you can fine tune the body to the chassis and class of your choice.  Weighing 33 grams (with side clips), the body measures 98mm wheelbase, 81.5mm front width, and 82mm rear width.

First French National win for Baranger

Shepherd driver Fabien Baranger claimed his first Elite Class National win over the weekend with victory at Round 3 of the FFVRC 1:8 Onroad National Championship.  Having finished P2 behind reigning Champion Maxime Ripoll last month in Châteaubourg, young Baranger would go one better at the RSMA track near Paris.  In qualifying it was Mugen Seiki’s Christophe Louis, podium finisher at Rounds 1 & 2, who secured the TQ ahead of Ripoll’s Xray with Baptiste Jimenez third and Baranger fourth.  With Baranger winning his Semi Final he would bump up a spot to start P3 for the 45-minute final.  With Louis leading early on, the race would see dramas for many racers including the leader, Ripoll and Baranger who suffered a flame out while in the lead.  In the end strong pace, only himself & Ripoll posting 16-second lap times, would allow Baranger recover to take the win and end Ripoll run of race wins, the World Championship finalist recovering from his issues to finish 2nd.  Louis would not be able to keep his run of 2026 podium finish going finishing fourth as Simon Bergoin, who initially took over the lead from Louis, claimed the final step on the podium.
