Pro-Line Blockade 2.2" 1/10th 4WD front tyre

Coming soon from Pro-Line is the Blockade 2.2″ front tyre for 1/10th scale 4WD buggies. Designed for loose, dusty or hard-packed conditions the tyre tread features large lugs for exceptional tread life while balanced tread spacing makes for maximum forward bite. On top of this the uniquely blended side tread reduces the edginess, making it also a very forgiving tyre. The Blockage is available in soft M3 and super soft M4 rubber and it includes blue closed cell inserts.

PowerHD LW-20MG waterproof servo

PowerHD have introduced their all-new LW-20MG standard size servo. Being fully waterproof the servo is ideal for crawler and buggy applications and it offers a torque of up to 20kg-cm and a speed of down to 0.16s. It features dual ball bearings, copper and aluminium gears and it is usable with 4.8V to 6.6V input.

Tasos Paparegas wins Greek Buggy Nationals Rd1

Round one of the Greek National Buggy Championship was held in Crete and it saw Xray’s Tasos Paparegas (Xray) taking the win in the 45 minute A-main. Coming from the 3 spot on the grid Tasos moved his way up the field to take the day’s win from runner-up Terzis (Mugen) while Anapoliotakis (Mugen) completed the top 3 result. Behind the three Perogiannakis (Mugen) and Papanikolaou (Kyosho) would round out the top 5.

Adam Drake sweeps 2016 Philippine Masters

This past weekend the Philippine Masters was held at Quezon City Radio Control Car Club. The event hosted many drivers from throughout Asia as well as Adam Drake and Aaron Gomez from the USA. Quezon City Radio Control Car Club has been around for nearly twenty years and has host the last six Philippine Masters. Saturday was Nitro Buggy racing and consisted of three rounds of qualifying, using rocket round due to the consistency of the track. Adam Drake was the top qualifier in Nitro Buggy followed by teammate Aaron Gomez. The 60-minute Nitro Buggy final was under the lights on Saturday night and Adam Drake won the main by a large margin. Sunday was Nitro Truck and 1/8th E-Buggy racing using the same format as Saturday. Adam Drake again was the top qualifier and won the 60-minute final while in the E-Buggy class Edward Sio came out fastest.

Tanner Day doubles at Kyosho 3 Lap Challenge

The 2nd running of the Kyosho 3 Lap Challenge took place at Nor-Cal Hobbies in San Jose, California this past weekend. In a break from the traditional qualifying format, the fastest three consecutive laps comprised the contestants’ times. To add even more challenges, dirt engineer Anton Aaroe designed a track layout specifically for this event, complete with a wicked challenging large quad jump that tripped up many drivers and shone a spotlight on those that conquered it. It was an accomplishment for drivers to complete one fast lap, let alone three, making for an exciting and unpredictable race. In Modified 2WD Buggy, Tanner Day held TQ over fellow team mate Charlie Cavalier by 1.9 seconds. In the main event, a mistake by Tanner in the quad jump put Charlie in the lead, but only for a minute. The 17-year old regained the lead and won with Charlie 2nd, and Antonio Counsil 3rd.

Pro-Line pre-cut 1/10th buggy chassis protectors

Coming from Pro-Line are several pre-cut chassis protector decals for the Team Associated B44.3, B5M and the TLR 22 3.0. They are made using extra thick 0.5mm material and prevent excessive chassis wear as well as dirt build-up in the chassis screws and unused screw holes. The decals are manufactured by Upgrade RC and they are available in the Pro-Line Team or Pro-Line Black design with a plain, un-cut and clear sheet also being available.

Pro-Line RC8T3 Enforcer bodyshell

Coming from Pro-Line is the Enforcer bodyshell for the Team Associated RC8T3 1/8th truggy. The body is a standard standard item in the AE kit and originally comes from the mind of Ty Tessmann to offer a meaner and more angular front end look with swooping roof and bed sections for improved airflow and high-speed stability. The hood of the truck is steeper to create more down force over the front wheels for more steering and faster lap times. As usual the body comes clear, including window masks and decal sheet.
