HB Racing D418 aluminium steering rack set

New from HB Racing is an option aluminium steering rack for the D418 buggy that allows a wider range of set-ups and a special new “all-back” position optimised for carpet track racing. The new steering rack is machined from high-quality aluminium for improved steering response thanks to higher rigidity and it comes anodised black for looks and wear. The part also includes a set of bushings and it fits both the D418 and D413.

Malaysian Electric On-road Nationals Rd1 – Report

The opening round of the Malaysian Electric On-road Nationals was held recently, attracting nearly 90 entries for the touring and formula classes. In the Touring Modified class it was special guest, Dominic Quek who would hold the upper hand. taking the TQ and win from teammate Shahrin as Wong Kok Wai rounded out the top 3 results.

Maifield doubles at inaugural JConcepts NCTS

Last weekend the inaugural JConcepts NCTS kicked off at 702 Raceway in Las Vegas, Nevada. Testing the waters a few years back, JConcepts launched the JConcepts Turf Nationals in Enfield, CT and the growth and interest has been well received as entries now hover around 350. Last year, JC joined up with Northwest Hobbies in Albany, OR and created the NW Carpet Nationals, which also saw a lot of positive feedback. After a few emails and phone calls with a couple of different tracks, the JConcepts NCTS was born and the United States’ first-ever national carpet and turf series was created.

Kyle Turner doubles at St. Patrick’s Day Hangover Race

Empire RC Raceway of Brentwood, California recently held their St. Patrick’s Day Hangover Race and it was Kyle Turner with a clean sweep in the 1/8th Nitro and E-Buggy classes. In the 30-minute Pro Buggy main Kyle managed to clinch the win over TQ Mason Eppley after a back and forth battle throughout the 30-minute main. Chet Miller would round out the top 3 results. Mason then top qualified in the E-Buggy class and ended up winning in the end. Zach Sievert and Andrew Herring came in 2nd and 3rd respectively.

Ioannidis Dimitris wins XRS Greece Rd3

Round 3 of the Xray Racing Series Greece Off-road was held at the Fanatix Racing Track near Athens last weekend. Ioannidis Dimitris (Xray) would take the overall TQ in the sole 2WD Modified Buggy class following wins in Q1 and Q3, setting his best time with a 9-seconds margin on his best run. With clean wins in the opening two A-mains Ioannidis then also secured himself the overall win with one round to spare. In A3 the young man would win again, however he had to defend himself from Manolis Kalantzakis (Xray) with whom he had a close and clean run. Team Associated driver Dimitris Kouretas would round out the top 3 after the finals.

Marcel Schneider sweeps NRW Off-road Cup opener

The opening round of the popular NRW Off-road Cup was held at the Racing Aren Limburg recently. After the three qualifiers and in both the 2WD and 4WD Buggy classes it was Marcel Schneider who would hold the upper hand, TQ-ing both classes. In the finals it was again an all-Marcel show and with victories in both categories he made a clean sweep to round out a perfect weekend.

Rebellion-RC IF11 WTC wing-to-chassis mount

New for the Infinity IF11 formula pan cars is the WTC wing-to-chassis mount from RC-Carbonstore’s Rebellion-RC brand. The carbon fibre and aluminium assembly will ensure increased rear end grip, better handling, improved stability on bumpy tracks and more predictable cornering. The mount moves the rear wing mount from the power pod to the centre chassis area, reducing unsprung weight. The design ensures only 20g of added weight and it offers three mounting positions for the side tubes. The system is also usable with the popular Xray gear differential.

Excellent for offroad and formula but also suitable for those who want to use these type of batteries in touring. Finally, the 38g (OFC-008) 131mmx34.5mmx1mm is designed to be used with a standard sized battery and can also be applied using double-sided tape on the battery or directly on the chassis.
