Mike Lewis wins at Brookthorpe Winter Series Rd4

The Brookthorpe Model Car Club held round 4 of their Winter Series this past weekend. The weather was quite chill but racing was hot and it was Team Associated’s Mike Lewis with the overall TQ and also the win in the 15-minute Nitro Buggy A-main. Matt Lewis (Team Associated) came in 2nd, leaving behind HB Racing’s Chris Lovell in 3rd.

Adam Drake sweeps Grassroots Racing Series Rd1

The opening round of the Grassroots Racing Series was held at Wild West R/C Raceway last weekend. Mugen’s Adam Drake was the man to beat all weekend, taking triple TQs in Open Nitro Truggy, Open Nitro Buggy and Open E-Buggy. The 12-minute Nitro Truggy main then saw again Adam on top, taking the win a lap in front of Tekno’s Dean Rock and two laps in front of TLR pilot, Felipe Martinez. Over in the Nitro Buggy main it was another win for Adam, a lap in front of Cole Jenson and TLR’s Anthony Westergaard. Adam would round out a perfect weekend with a win in the 8-minute E-Buggy main, lapping Anthony Westergaard (TLR) and Miguel Perez (Mugen) for the win.

Michael Farmer wins at Forever Heros Race

The 3rd annual Forever Heros Race was held at Chehaw RC Raceway of Albany, Georgia this past weekend. In the 40+ E-Buggy class it was Tekno’s Jamie Joiner with the TQ but after the double A-mains it was JQ Racing’s Mike Farmer with the win from Jamie Joiner 2nd and Mugen’s John Lian 3rd.

Adam Fikri wins at Lap Paradise Off-road League Rd1

The opening round of the Lap Paradise Off-road League was held at Lap Paradise RC Raceway in Ulu Tiram, Malaysia last weekend. In the Nitro Buggy class it was Danny K. with the overall TQ, however his strength after the qualifiers would not stand as he suffered a DNF in the 60-minute main final, making way for JQ Racing’s young Adam Fikri who brought home the win from HB Racing’s Ben Panic on the 2 spot, some 14 seconds behind Adam. Terrence Lim (SWorkz) would come in 3rd place, some three laps down.

Samix BD9 aluminium main chassis

Samix have announced the release of an aluminium main chassis for the Yokomo BD9 touring car. It is machined from high-quality 7075-T6 aluminium and it features herringbone-shaped cut-outs for optimised flex characteristics that are making the chassis ideal for medium to high-bite track conditions. A matte black anodising and machined silver edge details of the fully symmetrical chassis make for eye-pleasing aesthetics.

ARC screw-type shock shafts

Coming from ARC and made for their short and ultra-short shock absorbers are screw-type shock shafts. Their design does away with the standard E-clip mounting, ensuring better piston seat with eliminated axial play. The shafts come in sets of four including suitable screws.

3Racing Sakura M4 4WD M-class touring car kit

3Racing have released first images and information of their forthcoming new Sakura M4 4WD M-class touring car kit. Based on the popular Sakura 4WD chassis series the M4 was specially designed for the ever popular M-chassis class, offering an adjustable 210mm to 225mm wheelbase, durable lower arms, Sakura Advance 2k18 steering components, front and rear anti-roll bars as well as fibre glass chassis components. Other features include sturdy front and rear shock towers, a front spool, and an adjustable battery compartment for standard or shorty-type battery packs. The kit will hit stores very soon.

Brilliant RC Magic Pipe Protect

Brilliant RC have introduced their new Magic Pipe Protect, a product to keep polished exhaust pipes nice and shiny. A small amount of the chemical is enough to prevent a new and shiny exhaust pipe from getting dirty too fast. Applied before hitting the track the first time, owners can simply wipe it off afterwards to keep the pipe in a shiny condition. In addition Magic Pipe Protect has a higher thermal conductivity compared to conventional silicone greases, in order to prevent the exhaust pipe from becoming thermally insulated. The product comes in a handy bottle with a small brush, to guarantee an easy and safe application.
