PR Racing SB401R-T 1/10th 4WD truggy kit

PR Racing have introduced their all-new SB401R-T truggy for the growing 1/10th 4WD truck class. The vehicle builds on the proven SB401R 4WD buggy and features a narrow 2mm 7075-T6 alloy main chassis, Type-R low-profile shock towers, long travel suspension components, a centre differential with ultra hard cups for durability, longer front and rear diff outdrives for increased droop and it is topped off with a low centre of gravity truck body shell.

EcoPower Sling Shot SLV 13.5T brushless motor

New from Amain Hobbies’ EcoPower brand is the Sling Shot SLV 13.5 Turn sensored brushless motor. The Sling Shot SLV bases in the standard Sling Shot series but improves on the original with a heavily vented, lightweight can to help reduce overall weight and improve heat dissipation. Also, the SLV has larger solder tabs to reduce resistance and help make it easier when soldering the wires on. Other features include a high torque 12.5mm sintered Neodymium rotor to deliver the torque needed for competitive 13.5 class racing. Fully adjustable timing lets drivers fine tune the power delivery to suit their driving style and track conditions, while dual sensor ports allow easy installation in a variety of chassis configurations.

Hobbywing sign Marco Baruffolo

Hobbywing have announced the Italian 1/8th off-road frontrunner, Marco Baruffolo to their factory team. The Italian national champion and multi-time EFRA European Championship A-finalist will power his 1/8th and 1/10th scale Xray rides using Hobbywing speed controllers and motors and he has the following to say:

I am very happy to take part of Hobbywing team and I am really happy about the ESC and motors!

HB Racing D8 series 1-piece engine mount

New from HB Racing is a billet aluminium 1-piece engine mount with new adjustment cam mounts that ensure a perfect gear mesh for all D8 series buggies and trucks. The new design is more reliable in case of big crashes as the engine position is locked in place and perfectly straight. It also makes adjusting the gear mesh easier and more reliable. The new engine mount is machined from high-quality aluminium, comes anodised black, and is 10gs lighter than the old 2-piece engine mount. The adjuster cams are of machined aluminium and come in 3 versions for a variety of gear ratios and are reversible to fine tune the gear mesh for new or worn gears. The number 1 adjuster cams fit the most common gearing combination. The 1-piece engine mount fits all HB Racing buggy and truggy 1/8th scale platforms.

Avid voltage checker & white 2S charge leads

Coming from Avid are their new 1S to 6S voltage checker as well as a white colour variant of their 2S balance charge leads. Starting with the voltage checker, the item comes pre-soldered with stepped 4mm/5mm bullet-type connectors and it is ideal to check the voltage of 1S to 6S LiPo battery packs, helping to identify charged or partially charged packs. The voltage is displayed on the red LCD screen. Also new is a white variant of Avid’s 2S balance charge lead. It comes pre-wired with stepped 4mm/5mm connectors for the battery side as well as industry standard balance connectors.

Arrma introduce 2019 1/8th 6S BLX vehicle line-up

Horizon Hobby have introduced the new 2019 line of Arrma 1/8th 6S BLX series of off-road vehicles. All now feature the capable BLX 185 system as standard, allowing for speeds of over 90km/h while sliding motor mounts, easy access centre diffs and a never-loose servo saver add to the existing features. Also new are never-pop steering ball links, never loose hub nuts as well as Spektrum STX2 transmitter and Spektrum IC5 connectors in each kit. The 2019 range includes the Typhon 6S BLX buggy, the Talion 6S sport performance truggy, the Kraton 6S BLX speed monster truck, the Outcast 6S BLX stunt truck as well as the Notorious 6S BLX classic stunt truck.

Xray Racing Series Greece Rd4 – Report

The fourth round of the Xray Racing Series Greece was held at the Fanatix Racing Track in Athens recently. Cold but sunny weather made for good racing conditions and in the fast Touring Modified class it was Dimitris Ioannidis with the win, however he was hotly contested by Sotiris Diamadis who decided to run only the Modified class in order to fully concentrate on the battle up front. Ultimately he had to settle for 2nd and in front of Chris Kidis in 3rd.

RC One Racing B6 series carbon fibre battery strap

RC One Racing have released their new carbon fibre battery strap set for the Team Associated B6 series vehicles. Constructed from carbon fibre the retainers offers plenty of adjustments for all transmission styles and they use all stock hardware for a direct fit. A special area on top of the retainer plate allows for apply a name decal for that factory look and the set also includes a heavy duty O-ring retainer kit for the use on low-grip tracks. The set fits the B6, B6.1, B6.1D, B6.1FL, T6.1 and SC6.1 kits.
