Blacktarmac LSS Ver. 2.0 on-road shock absorbers

Italian company Blacktarmac introduce the LSS Ver. 2.0 on-road shock absorbers. The updated version sports a long list of features such as different length aluminium shock bodies including double O-ring short-type bodies, teflon bushings for improved sealing, high-precision 2 to 8-hole 1.1mm pistons, new piston screws, super smooth piston rods as well as new laser-etched spring preload nuts for easier and more intuitive shock adjustment. The shocks are available in four different sizes including 56.3mm, 57.9mm, 60.3mm and 65.5mm variants as well as complete sets for kits such as the Xray NT1 2015 and RX8, the Shepherd Velox V10 Pro and V8 Pro, Capricorn Lab C03 and C892 as well as the Mugen MTX6 and MRX5. There is also a set specifically for Yokomo’s DB7 electric touring car.

Collari gives rivals a ‘master class’ to win ENS opener

A track where back in 1978 a 6-year-old Lamberto Collari would begin a career that has brought him 9-time World Champion titles, today the legend of the sport gave his rivals a master class in how to execute the perfect final as he took victory in the season opener of the Euro Nitro Series.  Now owner of the L.Collari RC Raceway, Collari claimed his third ENS win by a full lap over Top Qualifier Dario Balestri with Andrea Pirani completing the podium in Bologna. The honour of best non Italian fell to defending champion Simon Kurzbuch who would finish 5th behind Alberto Picco after a difficult race.

VP Pro 12mm hex wheel balancer

VP Pro have a new wheel balancer available for 1/10th tyres with 12mm hex rims. Made from black anodised aluminium the wheel balancer offers high accuracy and a clamping-type system that prevents binding. A large lower tray acts as a sturdy base and also takes small parts such as mounting hardware. The balancer is made especially for 1/10th off-road wheels but it works with other 12mm hex adapter wheels also.

Vesa Yli takes Finnish 1/12th National Series title

The final round of the Finnish Electric On-Road Nationals saw Vesa Yli taking the day’s win and with it the overall title in the 1/12th scale class which, due to the lack of entries, was not an official Finnish national title this year. Vesa’s V-Dezign team mates Panu and Ari-Pekka Kyykkä came in 2nd and 3rd respectively to round out a great team performance.

Marc Rheinard takes German Indoor Touring Car title

The German Indoor Touring Car Nationals were held this past weekend in Berlin. The qualifiers would see a battle between Marc Rheinard and Yannic Prümper with both ending tie on points and the tie breaker handed Marc the pole position for the triple A-mains. The opening A-main had Marc taking quite a clear win ahead of Yannic Prümper and Christopher Krapp and the TRF driver was also able to grab the victory in A2 to take the overall win and with it the national title. Sitting out the third A-main Marc Rheinard (Tamiya) made way for Yannic Prümper (Yokomo) who cemented his runner-up spot with a win in front of newly signed Tamiya/TRF driver Christopher Krapp who rounded out the podium in 3rd.

Michael Derderian wins French 200mm nats Rd1

The first round of this year’s French 200mm Nitro On-Road Nationals was held in Toulouse. After the qualifiers Quentin Leroux (Capricorn/Team Orion) had grabbed the TQ honours in front of Michael Derderian (Xray/Gimar) and Basile Concialdi (KM/Novarossi). The final that saw a nice battle for the lead between Quentin and Michael with the latter being on a different tyre strategy which paid out at the end as he was able to grab the overall win from Quentin, while Basile rounded out the podium in 3rd.

Nathan Reese joins Yokomo

Nathan Reese joins Yokomo

Yokomo have announced the signing of up and coming Australian driver Nathan Reese to their team. Nathan is a regular A-finalist in Australia and alongside Simon Nicholson he will continue to grow and support the brand in Australia. Nathan will compete in all state and national championships in Australia as well as the TITC and next year’s World Championships in Shanghai and he had the following to say:

It’s a great opportunity to be able to join a world class team and one that I am extremely grateful for. I look forward to continuing to assist in the growth of the Yokomo brand and team within Australia.
