Reflex Racing have introduced the floating servo conversion chassis for the Roche P12 1/12th scale pan car. The conversion kit maintains the stock geometry of the P12, while adding optional holes to install longer Xray side links as well as Reflex Racing’s popular floating servo mount. On top of that the chassis is made from 2.5mm quasi isotropic carbon fibre, so it is more rigid than the kit version for more consistency in high-bite conditions.
The 2015 RC Lemans Series concluded this past weekend with the 7th and and final round hosted by the EVMC Velp club. Following the cancellation of the previous round 6 the title decision in the Stock class would take place at the final event. Due to the predicted weather and some entry cancellations the driver field unfortunately was pretty small with only one group each for the Modified and Stock classes. The qualifying then started out dry but with the day progressing things got more and more wet and unpleasant and with the FTD counting the opening qualifier was the fastest for most of the drivers. In the Modified class newly crowned German champion Tim Altmann would grab the TQ spot in front of Reinder Wilms and Sven Stoffels. The top 5 was completed by Peter Plümacher and Christian Fischer.

The French 1/8th On-road Cup was recently held at the Limoges track with some of the country’s fastest drivers in attendance. The main final at first saw the battle for the lead between Adrien Bertin and class rookie Leo Arnold but the latter would make some mistakes in the opening stages, allowing Adrien to open a gap on the field. Around the 20 minute mark, with Adrien out in front by around 9 seconds, Leo ran into tyre problems, allowing Thomas Desmaries to first close the gap and then also to pass Leo. With some five minutes to go Adrien had to pull out of the race with problems on his car and this promoted Thomas into the lead that he would keep until the checkered flag. Leo finished the main just two seconds short on Thomas with Stephane Riccobono rounding out the top 3 result.
Seen for the first time at the recent All Japan Hobby Show Kyosho now officially introduce the V-One R4 Evo 1/10th 200mm nitro on-road kit. The latest incarnation of successful R4 platform features several improvements and refinements to better cope with today’s powerful engines and so the newly shaped main chassis and upper deck are the foundation of improved mechanical grip and optimal performance in a wide variety of racing conditions. The new aerodynamic front bumper delivers improved turning stability while the front knuckles and rear hubs can be installed with optional carbon discs to provide increased high-speed stability and chassis setting variation.
Coming from Team Titan and made for 200mm touring cars is the VSR bodyshell. Designed with an emphasis on front end grip the body will still offer a stable and balanced feel that can be tweaked using the supplied rear wing that offers two different trim lines to make for easy aerodynamic tuning. The body is available in a regular weight 1.0mm and a lightweight 0.8mm variant and it includes window masks and a decal sheet.
The Italian Pista Verde Fener Championship recently concluded with the final round and in the 1/8th Nitro Pro class it was Mattia Collavo who made the triple by taking the TQ, win and the fastest lap. The victory at the season finale also handed Mattia the overall Pro class championship title. Marco Filippetto ended the season on the runner-up spot while Fabio Vigani grabbed the final podium spot to round out the top 3 result.

Xray have introduced the graphite floating servo mount for the T4’15 and T4’16 cars. Machined from high-quality carbon fibre the plate allows to run the car’s steering assembly in four different configurations to alter the flex characteristic of the front part of the chassis. Beside the kit standard, with the steering bellcranks mounted to the chassis, the bellcranks can also be attached to the floating servo mounting plate so chassis flex does not longer has influence the steering angle. The latter makes the car easier to driver in high-traction conditions and on very bumpy tracks. To further alter the flex settings of the chassis, Xray #302570 steering plate can be used to connect the bellcranks with the servo mounting plate when run in standard configuration. VBC Racing have released a set of optional aluminium steering knuckles for the LightiningF and FX formula cars. Machined from high-quality 7075 material and coming gun metal anodised the parts provide smoother kingpin travel, and they improve rigidity and durability of the front end. The knuckles must be used in conjunction with the company’s new hardened steel front axles but apart from that they are a drop fit for the F and FX kits.
