Roche Products International have announced the signing of multiple IFMAR 1/12th and 2014 ISTC World Champion Naoto Matsukura to race the company’s Rapide P12 1/12th scale pan car in the coming season. His campaign will also include the 2016 1/12th World Championships in China and additionally Naoto will help with further R&D work on Roche’s Rapide P12 platform.

Modelix from Spain have updated their Nitrolux fuel range to meet with the new regulations and market requirements. Available are special off-road blends containing 10, 16 and 25 percent nitro as well as 16 and 25 percent nitro on-road specific fuels. All are available in updated plastic cans with child security caps and in sizes of one, two and five litres, depending on the blend.

Xray have introduced their updated formula car kit for the 2016 season, the X1 2016. Based off of the back-to-back ETS championship winning car the refined 2016 specification kit features a new floating servo system that allows to mount the steering servo hanging above the chassis as seen in most of today’s touring cars while flippable servo mounts also provide chassis-based fixing. Both ways allow to fine-tune the flex and grip characteristics of the chassis and thus the overall handling.
Tamyia’s FF-04 Evo FWD touring car will soon become available as a special Black Edition kit. The vehicle will feature all-black aluminium parts such as bulkheads, steering and shock details to separate from the standard blue-themed kit. Given the information available the kit will feature the latest big bore shock absorbers and also an aluminium bumper mount as well as an updated motor mount and motor plate to stiffen up the front end but more information should become available in time for the release in December.

The well-known EWS Events team have announced the third edition of the popular International Carpet Challenge event will take place on the weekend of 19-21 February 2016 at their indoor venue near Southend, UK. The race, which will feature classes for Modified and Super Stock Touring Car, plus Formula 1, has grown over the last two years and attracts many drivers from across Europe. As well as the top UK drivers, last year’s runner up Christopher Krapp has already informed us that he plans to attend again. Additionally, a number of Europe’s top Modified, Stock and Formula racers are expected to make the trip to England. Entries for the event, which will also feature a Saturday night drivers’ party at a nearby venue, are now open and will be capped at 150 to ensure a full race program with plenty of track time for everyone can be completed. New from LRP’s recently announced Antix brand come five economically priced LiPo hardcase battery packs. Build using 45C cells the packs come pre-wired with a US-style T-type connector and an XH balancer port for easy and secure charging and balancing. Round one of the French Winter Nationals was held in Montbrison. In the Touring Modified class Lucas Urbain (VBC) and Alexandre Laurent (Xray) battled for the TQ spot with the better end for Alexandre whose last minute shot in the final qualifier handed him the overall TQ and the pole position for the triple A-mains. The final legs then were as tight as the qualifiers. Lucas would come out successful in the opening A-final but Alexandre stroke back in A2 and A3 to take the overall win from Lucas. Loic Jasmin (Yokomo) came in third to round out the podium.
Schumacher have announced that the Cougar KF2 2WD buggy is now available in a Special Edition. To celebrate a year of top notch results the Cougar KF2 SE includes the option for all three motor positions, all in one box. Available are the standard forward motor position for super high grip astro turf, a low grip position for medium grip astro and grass – as used at the IFMAR Worlds – and also the mid motor placement for medium and low traction conditions such as dirt and sandy/dusty astro – as utilised at the EFRA Euros. Included with the kit comes a new alloy chassis, new bodyshell, three belts for all motor positions as well as a new front carbon fibre top deck and mount as well as battery mounting hardware.
