TRG X1 & X12'15 Max Carbon graphite chassis

Japanese company TRG have introduced new optional Max Carbon graphite chassis for the Xray X1 and X12’15. Starting with the X1 chassis, the main plate was specially designed to allow the use of TRG’s TRG114 formula front end and dual bellcrank steering system. The wider front end makes the car usable for 200mm foam tyre classes and beside TRG’s own front suspension the chassis also allows to use the Tamiya F104 front end as well as the TRG F103 and F104 servo mounts.

Dodge wins at Halloween Classic Warm-up Series

Round two of the RC Car World/Middle River Hobbies Halloween Classic Warm-up Series was held at RC Car World in New Jersey, with race number one held at Middle River hobbies in Maryland a week earlier. Many of the nation’s fastest drivers came in preparation of the Annual Halloween Classic held in OH. With 55 total entries, Stock 17.5 Touring Car was the largest class with 31 entries and it featured many of the Northeast corridor’s fastest drivers like Mike Gee, Craig Xavier, and Jeff Cuffs. Fresh off his TQ run at the previous warm-up race held at MRH the prior week, Xray driver Robbie Dodge came to the race looking to build on his momentum. Robbie would need his car to perform at its best to follow up his previous performance.

Serpent 977-e TTB motor mount set

Serpent have introduced a dedicated motor mount set for the popular TTB square-style brushless motors. Precision-machined from 7075-T6 aluminium and coming gun metal anodised the part mounts directly to the centre bracket of the 977-e. Included with the mount comes suitable mounting hardware.

2015/16 Mibosport Cup Winter Series – Announcement

The 2015/16 season of the popular Mibosport Cup Winter Series will kick off on the weekend of the 31st of October in Hrotovice, host of the opening round of the 2015/16 ETS. Attracting 400 drivers in total including the likes of Ronald Völker, Marc Rheinard, Tom Cockerill, Yannic Prümper, Michal Orlowski, Martin Bayer and Hupo Hönigl last year’s series was great success. This year the series is run in the six classes of Touring Car Modified, Stock LRP, Formula, 1/12th scale as well as 2WD and 4WD Buggy and the rules will see some modifications as the Modified Touring class will now use mandatory Volante tyres while the off-road drivers have to use Schumacher tyres. Also new for the season is the carpet, with the on-road races will be run on black ETS carpet while the off-road track is laid out with the same carpet as used at the opening round of the 2015/16 EOS. Asian On-Road Championship Rd4 – Track Focus

The Asian On-Road Championship Series, presented by Scotty Ernst, has landed in Hong Kong for its 4th round at Tom Racing Circuit. Located five minutes from the old facility, the newly relocated TRC tracks has been in for a year and is home to three tracks in one massive facility. This weekend the AOC will be ran on a fresh layout on the EP track. With its massive 52m x 30m dimensions, it will provide generous space for 1/10th scale battles throughout the weekend. The surface is very smooth and the asphalt is very fine that should provide grip and long lasting tire wear. Club races on the EP track are only held every two months which makes club racing feel like a bigger race.

Italian LRP Challenge Grand Final – Report

Italian LRP Challenge Grand Final - Report

The Grand Final of the Italian LRP Challenge was held in Rome with some of Italy’s fastest driver competing against guests from abroad. In the premier class of Touring Car Modified Alessio Menicucci (Xray) grabbed the pole position for the finals with a very swift TQ time in front of Jan Ratheisky (Xray) and Ronald Völker (Yokomo). In the finals things changes a bit though and so Ronald took the win from Alessio and Jan. Simone D’Ottavio came in fourth, Federico Milanese rounded out the top 3 result.

Nikolas Bowie joins Serpent Asia

Serpent have announced the signing of Nikolas Bowie to their Asian team. Bowie is specialised in on-road racing, both EP and GP, with 1/10th electric touring car as his premier class. Bowie will run most races in Indonesia with some international races in his area being on the agenda too.

Salvatore Giliberto wins at Torero Trophy

The recent Torero Trophy saw Salvatore Giliberto walking away with the 1/10th 200mm class win in front of Salvo Scalia on the runner-up spot. Umberto Gentile would round out the podium in third.
