Hot Race Roma 1/8th buggy tyre

Italian company Hot Race Tyres has introduced the first in a line of new 1/8th buggy tyres. Called the Roma, the tyre sports a medium-size square block tread with specially shaped outer blocks while an inner mesh design makes for lower and more even tyre wear. The Roma is available in a supersoft, soft, medium and hard compound and despite the somewhat directional design it does not have a fixed rolling direction and can be used both ways around to adjust the overall traction.

Jack Neal wins at Silverstone Winter Series Rd2

At the recent second round of the Silverstone Winter Series David Poulter set TQ in the 2WD Buggy class and he led a very close and entertaining final for over four minutes, under constant pressure from Schumacher teammates Nathan Waters and Jack Neal. Finally Dave made a small error, which blocked Nathan, and allowed Jack Neal to squeeze past and take the win, from David in 2nd and Nathan in 3rd.

Berton & Boots successful at Kyosho Masters

The 2015 Kyosho Masters USA were held this past weekend at RC Tracks of Las Vegas, home of the 2016 IFMAR 1/8th Buggy World Championships. The event saw the attendance not only of U.S. Kyosho drivers but also some swift guests from abroad such as Riccardo Berton, Elliott Boots and Kyosho’s own Yuichi Kanai. In the premier Nitro Buggy class 2015 Italian Nitro Buggy Champion Riccardo Berton made a clean sweep by TQing three of the five qualifiers to take the overall TQ from Elliott Boots and Cody King who came out fastest in the remaining rounds. Jared Tebo and Kyle Johnson completed the top 5 after the qualifiers.

Yannick Aigoin TQs and wins at Pierrefeu GP

The French Grand Prix Pierrefeu was held this weekend with some of the country’s fastest drivers in attendance. Xray’s Yannick Aigoin would take the TQ after the qualifiers and he also grabbed the overall win in the 45 minute main final some 25 seconds in front of Rayan Medjoubi (JQRacing). Jerome Sartel (TLR) would round out the podium another four seconds down while Jerome Aigoin (Kyosho) and Jeremy Pittet (HB) completed the top 5 result.

Margaritis Sourdos wins North Greece Cup

The North Greece Cup was recently held at the Hobbytech RC track. Margaritis Sourdos (Xray) was the man to beat in the 1/8th nitro class as he easily TQ’d round 1 and 2 to take the overall TQ from Biritzikis (Mugen) and Markos (Agama). In the main final it was again Margaritis who dominated the field by taking the win some two laps ahead of Zois Margaritis (Agama) and Markos who rounded out the podium in second and third respectively.

Tasos Paparegas wins at Greek Buggy Nats Rd2

The second round of the Greek 1/10th Electric Buggy Nationals was held at the Zorri RC track. In the 4WD class the Paparegas brother (both Xray) soon made their intentions clear by coming out fastest in the qualifiers with Tasos grabbing the runner up spot from John in second. Argi (Kyosho) would round out the top 3 after the qualifiers. In the finals it was again Tasos who came out fastest from John with Nicolas Floudas (TLR) completing the podium, coming from the 6 spot on the grid.

New Nitrolux off-road & on-road fuel range

Modelix from Spain have updated their Nitrolux fuel range to meet with the new regulations and market requirements. Available are special off-road blends containing 10, 16 and 25 percent nitro as well as 16 and 25 percent nitro on-road specific fuels. All are available in updated plastic cans with child security caps and in sizes of one, two and five litres, depending on the blend.

Team C TC02C brass rear arm mount

New from Team C comes an optional rear arm mount for the TC02C buggy. Machined from heavy brass material to mimic the stock dimensions the part is a direct replacement for the standard alloy mount, it is usable with the standard composite suspension inserts and its weight of 14g helps to fine-tune the weight distribution of the buggy.
