JConcepts Mono slim 2WD buggy front wheels

JConcepts Mono slim 2WD buggy front wheels

JConcepts proven Mono 1/10th buggy wheels are now also available in a “slim” 2WD front variant. The rim completes a wheel lineup for the narrow carpet and Astroturf front tires routinely used around the world. The internal ribs feature support in all the appropriate areas extending inside to out against the outer bead ring. The centralized hex accommodates a huge selection of 2WD buggy platforms – including the B5, RB6, KF2, SRX-2 and YZ-2 – and is shallow enough for a clean install every time. A polished face maintains a clean yet simple look for the racer and an outer glue catch resists excess glue from running down the wheel during the mounting process. The light-weight, one-piece wheels are precision molded for concentricity, produced in a durable, high-impact material and available in bright white and fluorescent yellow and they come in packs of four wheels.

The 6th and final round of the Slovakian 1/10th Electric Off-road National Championship was held at the very dusty and bumpy MSR-Bratislava race track. In the 2WD class Michal and Lucas then also clearly dominated the mains. The opening leg saw Lucas coming in first while leg 2 had Michal coming out successful following a small bobble of Lucas. The very entertaining third and deceive final was then again won by Lucas, following a series of passes of both drivers.

Martin Wollanka wins Austrian Nitro Buggy Nats Rd4

Martin Wollanka wins Austrian Nitro Buggy Nats Rd4

The fourth and final round of the Austrian 1/8th Nitro Buggy Nationals was held at the A-Team Graz track. The newly prepared surface offered high yet smooth traction and it was Xray’s Martin Wollanka who set the pace by winning three qualifiers to take the TQ while Serpent’s Hupo Hönigl closely followed in second spot. After the semifinals Martin placed his buggy on the pole position for the 45-minute main final with Hupo coming in second, only one second short of Wollanka’s time. The main then saw Martin and Hupo running like a freight train and thanks to a different fuel strategy Hupo was even able to take the lead at some point but a silly mistake had Hönigl collide with a back marker so he would loose contact to Martin. From that moment on Wollanka was able to cruise to the win with Hupo securing a happy second place. Dominik Bauer (Mugen) would round out the top 3 result.
