With a second place at the recent fifth round of the Portuguese 1/8th Nitro Buggy Championship Ricardo Monteiro has secured himself his first national title. Miguel Matias would take the win at round 5 while Carlos Duraes rounded out the podium in third.
August Bank Holiday usually has a 3-day race of one form or another over it, and this year was no different. However the Herts club tried something different and rather than have a race dedicated to one tyre manufacture, they created an event where the three most prominent tyre brands in the UK, Beta, Proline and AKA were able to nominate one of their patterns to be eligible to race in whatever compound the competitor liked, thus not alienating drivers with allegiances to one particular brand. The track as ever was in immaculate condition and everyone was looking forward to a great weekends racing, with the hope that the weather would hold off and not come and spoil the proceedings.

Round six of the Swiss 1/8th Nitro Buggy Nationals was held near the lake of Geneva in the beautiful city of Morges, Vaud, Switzerland. In the 45-minute main final Patrick Hofer came out successful despite being dead last in the opening stages due to an early crash. Patrick then shifted into second gear, catching position by position to grab the lead around the 30 minute mark. He then never looked back to take the win from team mate Ronny Lüber in second place.

Round three of Swedish National Cup series was held in the small village of Viskafors, hosted by the Boras MRK club. Usually used for 1/8th off-road racing the track was pretty big for the 1/10th scale buggies and also the jump sections held some difficulties for the drivers as these were critical to score consistent and fast lap times. In the 4WD qualifiers Alexander Landen was able to TQ the first two rounds, but Niclas Mansson stroke back and took round three and four and he was also able to grab the overall TQ with a better tie-breaker to line up on the pole position for the triple A-mains.

The second round of the Argentinian 1/8th Off-road National Championship was held at the Colonia Caroya track in Cordoba in several 1/8th nitro buggy and truggy categories. In the 45-minute main final of the Buggy Pro class Agustin Cutini (Mugen/Novarossi) came out successful from Sebastian Recia (Mugen/Novarossi) in second and Federico Davico (TLR/Reds Racing) in third place.

Round three of the Czech 1/8th Buggy Nationals was held at the RC Club Radotin track in Prague. In the Nitro Buggy class Jiri Mara (Serpent) took the win from Karel Novotny (Team Durango) and Max Götzek (Xray), who made a last lap move to secure himself the final podium spot. Elsewhere in the E-Buggy class Karel Novotny (Team Durango) grabbed the win from Ales Bidovsky (TLR) while Max Götzel scored his second third place finish of the day to round out the podium.
