Infinity IF15 special coated clutch bell

Another new release from Infinity for their IF15 following its victory at the 1:10 200mm World Championships in Florida last month is the special coated clutch bell. As used on Naoto Matsukura’s winning car, it is a direct replacement for the standard kit supplied version and gives the benefit of being light and extremely durable as well as offering great clutch bite.

Fernando Mendez wins at Pitlane Hobby GP

The Pitlane Hobby Grand Prix was held in Puerto Rico last weekend. Samuel Zayas took the TQ in the GT8 class, however it was Fernando Mendez who would walk away with the win as Samuel had to settle for 2nd overall. In 3rd Juan Chalas rounded out an all-IGT8 podium.

JConcepts Winter Indoor Shootout – Report

The 8th Annual JConcepts Winter Indoor Shootout was hosted by Fastlane Raceway in Blue Springs, Missouri last weekend. Always a popular race and this year the WIS attracted some of the best racers in the region like super talented Mason Fuller, Tom Rinderknecht Tyler Keel, Alex Vanderbeek, Nick Gibson, Michael Twilling, Dave Alberico, and Rico Karstens. The grip is always good at Fastlane Raceway and this year’s layout for the WIS was even better. Overall, the layout was fun but not too difficult and allowed great racing in all class. TLR’s Mason Fuller and Team Associated’s Tom Rinderknecht had an epic battle in the Invitational class. Both finished the 2WD portion tied in points while Mason edged out Tom by 2 points during the 4WD portion to take the overall invitational championship. Both drivers put on a ‘next level’ show as they scored no worse than a 2nd place finish.

Xray Racing Series Poland Rd1 – Report

The first round of the 2018/19 Xray Racing Series Poland was held last weekend with about 130 drivers in attendance. For many it was the last chance to get some laps under their belt in preparation of the EOS round 2 that will be held this weekend in Warsaw. The track layout was pretty fast with nice jumps and the event attracted Poland’s super star racer, Michal Orlowski (Schumacher) along with Schumacher’s Tristam Neal. Without surprise the 2WD and 4WD Modified classes would then be dominated by Michal, who took the wins ahead of Yokomo’s Bartlomiej Zambrzycki and Xray’s Bartosz Zalewski.

Kyosho R4 Evo.2 3D racing clutch set

Made for the R4 series of 1/10th 200mm nitro touring cars is Kyosho’s new Evo.2 3D racing clutch set. The updated clutch assembly features a new smaller diameter flywheel and several new materials, allowing to extract the full potential out of the engine. Included in the set are two types of clutch shoes, the clutch bell, bearings as well as small parts to fine-tune the fitment.

T-Works tank cap puller set

T-Works have introduced their new tank cap puller set for 1/8th buggy and truggy kits. The set includes a perforated plastic string that can be size-adjusted using the included hardware set. Using the tank cap extension will allow for easier refilling and it is usable for most buggy and truck kits.

Powerstar PC-600, PC-900HV & PC-1600HV servos

Coming from Powerstar are the new PC-600, PC-900HV and PC-1600HV servos that were developed as a budget-friendly option for beginners and RTR vehicles. All three feature plastic cases and DC motors with the 900 and 1600 series items also coming with a metal geartrain for improved durability. The latter two are also high-voltage compatible, upping power and speed when needed.

Fenix TC7.2 Flexy’n’sexy aluminium chassis

Coming from Fenix Racing and made for the Team Associated TC7.2 touring car is the new Flexy’n’sexy aluminium chassis. Just 84mm wide and weighing in at 82g the chassis was developed to generate less flex than a conventional carbon fibre chassis, yet offering more twist than a full-face aluminium item, resulting in just about the right flex for medium to high-bite racing conditions. The main plate is machined from high-quality aluminium and it features machined silver edge details and a dark surface coating.
