Traxxas VR46 Fiesta ST & LaTrax VR46 Rally RTR

Traxxas have introduced their new VR46 Fiesta ST and LaTrax VR46 Rally RTR kits as part of a cooperation with Valentino Rossi, known to his fans as “The Doctor”, recognised around the world as one of the greatest MotoGP racers in history with nine Grand Prix World Championships under his belt. The 1/10th scale VR46 Fiesta ST is specially tuned with a low centre of gravity chassis and oil-filled Ultra Shocks to be agile on the track. When the pavement ends, its full-time 4WD, long-travel suspension, and rally-bred tyres dig in for ultra-fast bumper-to-bumper racing action. The powerful Titan 550 motor muscles his driver to the front of the pack and waterproof electronics allow authentic all-weather racing.

T-Works BD9 foam bumpers

T-Works have introduced the soon release of new front bumper foams for the Yokomo BD9 touring car. Available as standard and extra hard variant, both offer exceptional chassis and body protection, however it is understood that they differ in weight, allowing to simply fine-tune the chassis’s weight bias.

MIP TLR 22 5.0 Pucks 17.5 drive system

Coming soon from MIP is the Pucks 17.5 drive system for the new TLR 22 5.0 buggy. Due to offering a 40 percent reduced rotational mass the system ensures increased acceleration and less motor fatigue in 17.5T stock classes. Included in the kit are 7075-T6 alloy parts such as diff outdrives and diff hubs, and 68mm driveshafts bones. The kit includes the reliable 1.5 Pucks for durability, it comes including diff balls, diff washers, miscellaneous small parts and it is also usable on the 4.0 buggy.

RC-Aurora mini-size V2 setup system

PPM RC Racing have introduced the new RC-Aurora V2 setup system for mini-size cars. Constructed just like larger tools for 1/10th scale vehicles the setup system allows to measure caster and toe settings, making suspension setup a lot more accurate. Include in the set are four camber angle tools, wheel adapters an a toe angle plate.

Samix SCX10 II short brass front bumper mount

Samix have introduced a short brass front bumper mount for the Axial SCX10 II trail truck. Machined from high-quality brass material and coming with a black surface coating for wear the part adds about 55g of weight as well as a lot of stability to the front end of the truck. Machined gold-coloured edge details and an etched Samix logo round out the part.

TLR 22 5.0 1/10th 2WD buggy series unveiled

Following a first brief introduction during the recent International Offroad Carpet Championship in Las Vegas, Team Losi Racing now officially unveiled their new TLR 22 5.0 1/10th scale 2WD buggies. Coming in three different specifications, as astro turf and carpet-specific AC, dirt-loving DC and stock class oriented SR variant, all base on the same hard-anodised 2.0mm aluminium main chassis, however specific, included, optional parts ensure best possible performance in the given classes or environments. Features identical to all buggies are VLA front arms, all-new front camber blocks with a third ballstud option as well as new front roll centre adjustment that allows for super low, low, medium or high roll centres. Increasing the length of the steering bell cranks and spindle arms, along with changes to the Ackermann angle give the 22 5.0 a significantly smoother steering feel, especially off-centre and high speed while increasing low-speed steering for tighter tracks and 180’s.

Spencer Rivkins wins at rained-out Fall Brawl

One of the best nitro races on the east coast, the 2018 Fall Brawl is always jammed pack with awesome competition, killer layout, and a truly fun atmosphere. As fun as the track was … everything was just about perfect, unfortunately, mother nature is going to win any outdoor war and halfway through qualifying, the rain came and continued into the next day washing away the weekend of racing. However, with almost two rounds in the books, the race was called and awards were given based on the qualifying action that took place. After a disappointing result from the 2018 IFMAR World Championships in Perth, Australia, Spencer Rivkin wanted a bit of redemption in the Pro Nitro Buggy class. Back into 1/8th scale mode, Spencer made the trip from Surprise, Arizona to his first ever Fall Brawl experience and loved it. Badlands is definitely a track suited to Spencer’s driving style and we saw him really distance himself from his competition in quals 1 and 2. As the only Pro Nitro driver to turn 12 laps in qualifying, Spencer grabbed two TQs before the rain came and was awarded 1st place once the race was called.
