Xray T4 ECS Extra Strong front driveshafts

Xray have introduced the new extra strong ECS double joint driveshafts for the T4 line of touring cars. Being of a reinforced design compared to the standard ECS shafts the ES version offers improved durability, making them especially useful in modified classes. Generally dual joint driveshafts reduce wheel chatter at high steering angles with the ECS ES items being available in a 50mm and 52mm variant.

Naoto Matsukura joins Xpert R/C

Xpert R/C have announced that multi-time IFMAR World Champion Naoto Matsukura is joining Xpert as a factory driver. Naoto is known as one of fastest drivers with any type of car from 1/12th on road, 1/10th touring car to 1/10th off-road. As one of his most recent successes Naoto was the Top Qualifier and won the 4WD Open class at the IFMAR Worlds Warm Up race using Xpert R/C products.

Loran Whiting TQs & wins at US Midwest Series Rd2

The second round of the US Midwest Series was held in Portage, Indiana with 64 entries spread out among 1/8th GT, Pan Car, 1/8th 4WD, 1/10th Modified Electric Sedan, and 1/10th Nitro Sedan. In 1/10th Nitro Sedan it was Loran Whiting who was able to TQ and win the A-main. Loran also TQ’d and won round 1 back in May and with her second win in the series she is leading the point standings for 1/10 scale.

The shock towers allow the use of standard shock absorbers for improved handling, traction and side-bite. South-African ORE Nationals Rd3 – Report

The third round of the 2015 South-African ORE national championship were held at the Krugersdorp Model Racers track, home of the 2002 World Championships. Free practise started on Thursday with a little bit of early Winter rain and the technical but fast track challenged all driving skills. The current Touring Modified championship leader Jason Hillcoat continued his good form by taking the TQ and win. Jason did not have it all his way after a 6th place in the first of the triple mains due to a technical failure. He was also challenged by the young and fast Alex Ribeiro and Antonio Caroli. The win for Jason Hillcoat also hands him the Modified National Championship title this year, making it three in a row.
