BRCA Touring Car National Series Rd1 – Report

The BRCA National Touring Car Series kicked off with round one at the fast and popular Cotswolds track in Gloucestershire, UK over the weekend. Two classes are run over two days and it was a great weekend for the defending champions. In Super Touring Modified reigning champion Olly Jefferies was on good form after dominating the UK national 1/12th scale series over the Winter and he showed he had maintained his form as racing moved out on to the tarmac and with his Xray touring car as he set TQ after five rounds of qualifying.

Tony Mur wins Formula class at SNS Rd2

The second round of the Spanish National Series was held at the Nitro 15 track in Villareal, Spain. In the Formula class David Rebollo grabbed the TQ honours and the pole position for the finals but it was Tony Mur, coming from the 4 spot on the grid, who won the first and second A-main to take the day’s win early. Gonzalo Garcia came in 2nd while David Rebollo rounded out the top 3 result. In the championship Tony Mur sits on the top spot with 1280 points from Hector Albarracin in 2nd with 1175 points. The next round of the SNS will be held on the 4th of July on the Capa track in Madrid.

Fischer & Ehrbar win at Tonisport Onroad Series Rd4

The 4th round of the Tonisport Onroad Series was held at the AMC Hamm outdoor track. In the Touring Car Modified class Serpent’s Marc Fischer took the TQ after the qualifiers from Christopher Krapp (Tamiya) and Thimo Weissbauer (Serpent). In the triple A-mains Marc underlined his dominant performance by making a clean sweep to take the overall win from Christopher and Thimo.

Sielaff wins at North German IC Track Regionals Rd2

The second round of the North German Nitro On-road Regionals was held in Hildesheim this past weekend. In the 1/10th 200mm Touring class Rico Kröber (Capricorn) took the TQ after the qualifiers in front of Lars Hoppe (Shepherd) and Kristof Sielaff (KM). In the 30 minute final Lars Hoppe took the win from Kristof Sielaff and Bernd Hasselbring but due to Lars’ car not complying with the technical regulations he got disqualified which handed Kristof the day’s win. Bernd gained the runner-up spot while TQ Rico Kröber rounded out the podium in 3rd.

Toykar Futaba OS Jakarta Open – Announcement

The 2015 Toykar Futaba OS Jakarta Open will be held on the Jakarta International Twin Circuit, Indonesia on June 6th to 7th in the two classes of 1/8th Nitro On-road and 1/10th 200mm Nitro Touring. The annual event each year attracts both experienced drivers and entry-level racers alike with the latter being highly encouraged to take part at the event that always offers a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. VBC touring car body height adjusters

VBC Racing have a set of body height adjusters for the Wildfire touring car available. Made from 7075 aluminium and coming red anodised the parts are made to allow for step-less bodyshell height adjustments using knurled nuts that rest on threaded mounting tubes. Included are four threaded alloy tubes, four adjustments nuts, rubber O-rings and mounting hardware.

EFRA 200mm Euros Warm-up race – Announcement

The warm-up race for the 2015 EFRA 1/10th 200mm Nitro Touring Car European Championships A & B will be held on the 4th and 5th of July at the impressive EFMOD facility in Izmir, Turkey. Run on a repaved 430 metre track with a 70 metre straight the event will also see the running of the second round of the Turkish On-road Nationals. More information can be found here and here.

Arrowmax Centax clutch spring adjustment tool

Arrowmax have a new addition to their range of Honeycomb tools available in the form of a Centax clutch spring adjustment tool. It allows to easily attach and detach the clutch spring preload collar and it also comes in handy when adjusting the bite point of the clutch. As all Honeycomb series tools the clutch adjustment tool makes use of a lightweight aluminium handle with large milled-out sections and it comes gun metal anodised and laser-etched.
