Carlos Duraes wins SWorkz Euro Cup

Last weekend the first ever SWorkz Euro Cup was held in Valladolid, Spain with around 55 drivers from Japan, Taiwan, Portugal and Spain in attendance. After 4 rounds of qualifying young Ricardo Monteiro took the overall TQ, leaving driver such as SWorkz star Atsushi Hara and Spanish SWorkz frontrunner Alberto Garcia behind. In the semifinals Alberto was on top of the game, coming in with a one lap margin and he also lead in the opening stages of the 45 minute main final until radio issues forced him to hand the lead to Ricardo with Atsushi in 2nd place. Later Atsushi got under pressure from Carlos Duraes until Hara lost valuable time to radio issues. With only two minutes on the clock Richardo and Carlos battled for the win with the better end for Carlos who crossed the finish line first to take the first ever SWorkz Euro Cup title.

Aaron Stringer wins at 15th annual Rocky Cup

Aaron Stringer wins at 15th annual Rocky Cup

The 15th annual Rocky Cup in Australia attracted nearly 110 drivers and in the Nitro Buggy class it was Aaron Stringer who dominated the qualifying although being chased by Jason Dyckhoff but at the end Aaron took the overall TQ by winning four out of the four qualifiers. Aaron also grabbed the TQ in the Truggy class but a mechanical failure in the final meant an early end of his truck ambitions. After the disappointment of the Truggy final Aaron and his team were keen to make amends and he got a great start in the Buggy final and was followed closely by Jason Dyckhoff. The two drivers battled for 10 minutes with less than 10 seconds between them. However, Dyckhoff made a big mistake that gave Aaron another 7 seconds. After that Aaron started to drive away and he took a comfortable win 1 lap on Jason Dyckhoff in second.
