Serpent have released a first teaser for their forthcoming SRX-4 1/10th scale 4WD buggy kit. Serpent promise to have more information on the Billy Easton designed buggy available soon, with the release being planned for end of March, beginning of April, and we will keep our eyes and ears open on details that may float around in the pits during this weekend’s Reedy Race of Champions.

For HPI Racing’s Q32 2WD micro buggy come a range of option parts such as a high speed gear and stability set, optional rims and tyres as well as an USB charge cable. Starting with the high speed gears and stability set, the kit contains three different gearing sets for acceleration and top speed adjustment, as well as a steering toe set to increase the front toe out angle by 1 or 2 degrees. Also part of the package is a tweak screw set to adjust the turning radius to be wider or sharper.

German electric on-road frontrunner Jan Ratheisky has recently teamed up with LRP to run the company’s electric brushless motors, speed controllers, battery packs, chargers and power supplies. The Euro Touring Series Formula champion and Pro Stock Vice champion will also assist with product development. Jan’s 2015 event schedule includes the LRP Touring Car Masters, the ETS and also the Euros and German nationals and he has the following to say about the deal:
During last year’s European Championships in Spain I was impressed by the team work of the LRP crew and I was involved in the tests right from the start. After a couple of practice runs and nice talks with Ales and Jürgen I was offered a team drive – an offer I could not deny.

A special inner cell structure of the 100C packs boosts the performance, making the batteries ideal for both Stock and Modified classes. The B series 7.4V batteries are available as a 5800mAh standard, 4800mAh shorty and 3500mAh low-profile variant with the with the standard and standard height shorty pack offering a unique 5mm and 4mm connector tube configuration to offer reverse polarity protection. The 3rd round of the JCP RC Raceway Electric Points Series was held this past weekend with nearly 110 entries that split into several classes with 2WD Mod Buggy making almost half of the entries. In qualifying Tyler Jones swept both the 2WD and 4WD Modified classes thanks to the track knowledge he gained at the CRCRC Midwest Winter Championships a week ago. Mains came around and Tyler would gap the field in 2WD Mod Buggy and later make a bobble allowing the 2nd place driver to gain a little bit but would hold off the challenge for the win. In 4WD Mod Buggy, Tyler checked out and never looked back, and he would turn the fastest lap of the entire day as well.

New from JConcepts comes the Advanced Formulated Tire Glue, a low viscosity cement specially formulated to allow for maximum bonding. The CA glue is deal for virtually every tyre glueing job and it comes in a sealed package that contains glue, gluing tip applicator and plugging needle.

Revolution Design Racing Products have a new aluminium option part for the Team Associated B5 series of buggies available. The aluminium steering plate replaces the kit’s plastic rack with a more sturdy solution for added rigidity and better looks. The CNC-machined 7075-T6 aluminium part considerably strengthens the steering assembly for less slop, a more precise steering reaction and less flex, resulting in a rock solid steering feeling and more durability in the event of a crash. The RDRP B5RM/MM Aluminium Steering Plate fits the B5, B5M and T5M kit and it comes blue anodised and laser-etched to match the remainder of RDRP’s Team Associated option parts.

Yeah Racing have a bunch of aluminium option parts for the Axial Wraith Rock Racer available. The line includes machined heavy duty aluminium front and rear link mounts, front steering knuckles, front C-hubs, rear lockouts, a servo mount, and wheel hubs, all anodised in gun metal colour and made to replace the standard parts with more rigid ones. Being of a heavy duty design the items help to improve the durability when running the truck in demanding conditions and they also add some visual impact. All products are available separately including hardware or as a combo kit.
