Cody King scores Pro Buggy win at KFC

Following on from the report we received on the truggy and brushless classes at the Kyosho Fall Classic, held at Revelation Raceway in Ontario, CA last weekend, today we received a report on the hotly contested buggy class. Kyosho team driver Cody King, driving his Team Orion powered Inferno MP9, TQ’d and won the highly contested 1/8 Nitro Pro Buggy class, taking the victory in front of Associated’s Ryan Cavalieri and Hot Bodies driver Travis Amezcua. Cody also finished 2nd in Pro Truggy and 3rd in Pro Electric Buggy, landing on the podium in all 3 classes he competed in…

Kyosho Inferno GT2 VE

Seen at the Tokyo Hobby Show last month, Kyosho have announced that the Inferno GT2 VE is coming soon. It seems that the car will be sold as an electric car under the VE label and current GT or GT2 owners can convert their car from nitro to electric using the new 1/8th universal Inferno brushless conversion kit. Kyosho Tokyo Hobby show update

Following up on the teaser that Kyosho presented us with some weeks ago on the Ultima SC, the Japanese company has shown off their new Short Course truck on their booth at this weeks Tokyo Hobby show. We unfortunately have no more information on the car other than it will be available as a readyset. Also shown on the Kyosho booth was the Inferno GT brushless conversion with other items of interest announced at the show being a Takaaki Shimo edition V-One RRR and a Shin Adachi edition V-One SR. Jerome Aigoin sets early Euros practice pace

Practice 2, which is being timed over 5 minutes is underway and it is French driver Jerome Aigoin with his Kyosho/Sirio combination who has set the early over defending Champion Renaud Savoya. Aigoin, who completed 7 laps in 5:29.506, said his Inferno MP9 was working well and other than changing from the soft compound AKA Cityblock tyre to the medium version he will leave the car as is for the next run. Kyosho America are packaging the Inferno ST-RR alongside a Team Orion CRF Rev .21 engine to give you the Jared Tebo Limited Edition ST-RR. Limited to 50 pieces, your money will also get a Tebo autographed numbered decal and Jared’s Silver State setup sheet. The release didn’t give any word on whether buying both the standard car and engine together is a better deal than buying them separately, but without any extra option parts or anything else special included, we would hope it is.
