Kyosho Gas powered 1/12th pan car

The picture above was spotted in this months issue of the Japanese magazine, RC Magazine. It shows a new, concept stage, project by Kyosho to make a 1/12th gas powered 4wd pan car, sporting what looks like the same Sirio .09 engine that comes with the Mini Inferno range of buggies. As my Japanese is pretty bad, all i can comment on is the picture and i have to say that it looks like a rather awkward and cramped layout with 2 belt configuration, side mounted disk brake and 2 speed gearbox. The rear top mounted exhaust just looks like…

Is the 1/8th Gas Buggy market flooded?

On Tuesday I reported about the news that Technokit was to enter the 1/8th scale buggy market. At the time I noted that its a very flooded market and it would be bigger news if a manufacturer stated that they werent going to enter this class. Well i did a little research to follow up on that comment and was amazed to have come up with a list totalling 29 31 manufacturers (that i know of) that currently have, or are close to releasing, a 1/8th scale gas powered buggy. That is a huge number of players all fighting for…
