Nugroho wins 3 Stone Park Off Road Challenge

The 3 Stone Park 2014 Off Road Challenge was held on 21 December 2014 at 3 Stone Park Track in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The race was divided into 2 classes, Pro and Open Class and the race format consisted of three rounds of 10 minutes qualifying with your two best counting. After 3 rounds of qualifying in the Pro Class it was Jason Nugroho who took the TQ. Starting from pole position Jason got a clean start to the final and pulled away to take the win ahead of Kelvin Ngow and Eric Lim. In the open class it was Ryan Stocek, who just a few weeks earlier changed to Xray who took the TQ spot and would go on to take the win from Danny K and Ricky Teoh.

Axial Yeti pre-painted bodyshell

Axial have a new pre-painted bodyshell for the 1/10th Yeti rock racer available. Made from .040″ thick polycarbonate material the body comes painted in a white, blue and pink paint scheme, it is pre-cut for easy installation and includes a roof section and decals. The needed plastic scale accessories and hardware are available separately.

Avid B5 & B44.3 Avert aluminium spring cups

Avid’s Avert aluminium spring cups for the Team Associated B5, B5M and B44.3 are a direct replacement for the standard plastic cups and they are of a unique angled slot design to prevent them from coming off in demanding conditions. They also fit snug on the shock eyelet to help prevent shock shafts from pulling out of the plastic shock end. The cup’s dimensions resemble the +5 Associated parts, they are machined from black anodised 6061-T6 aluminium material and come in packs of four including an Avid mini decal sheet.

New from Arrowmax come lightweight closed design wheel nuts for 1/8th applications. Usable on buggy, truggy and GT kits the wheel nuts machined from high-quality aluminium protect the hex adapter thread due to their enclosed design as they keep away dust, dirt and moisture. 2014-15 WA EP Interclub Series RD2 – Report

With the Australian Summer now in full swing, round 2 of the WA EP Interclub Series kicked off at Carine Radio Controlled Car Club INC. The small and challenging track came up wonderfully for the strong showing of 65 entries who arrived on Sunday morning to do battle. The multi-surface track, well known for its challenges and unique layout was sure to make the racing interesting, and it did not disappoint. The sun was out, the track looked good, the cars primed and ready – the stage was set for a great day of racing.

Xray XB4 gear centre differential set

Coming from Xray and made for the XB4 1/10th 4WD buggy is a gear centre differential set. Included are a composite gear case and cover, an exchangeable 81T spur gear as well as moulded diff internals. The specially designed spur gear is also available separately in a range of sizes to suit different gearing needs. Using a centre differential over a traditional slipper unit can be beneficial on both high-bite carpet and clay tracks alike.

Ruona & Mitch win at Toys for Tots race

301 Raceway and Hobby hosted its inaugural Toys for Tots event last Saturday. The show of support was amazing with 105 entries as many racers throughout Florida showed up baring gifts in one hand and their racing gear in the other. The day was filled with great racing, raffle prizes, and a 50/50 fun race. Many of the top drivers came out to show their support and put on a great show. The 2WD Modified class would see a dominating performance by JConcepts very own Jason Ruona. Jason’s mid motor B5M was on point all day as he would take the TQ honours and the wire to wire win, teammate Paul Wynn would go on to secure the P2 position with his B5M, and JConcepts’ teammate JR Mitch would round out the podium with his TLR22 2.0.

Jeremy Kortz leaves Agama for a new venture

After several years of being with Agama and Nemo Racing former ROAR National Champion and Worlds podium finisher Jeremy Kortz announce he will leave for a new venture due to having an opportunity offered he could not miss. No information about his new sponsor are available yet and we keep you up to date as soon as information become available. Jeremy has the following to say about his move:

I would like to thank Agama and Nemo Racing for the support over the past few years! But an opportunity has came up that I couldn’t miss. I miss the old school racing days and this opportunity reminds me of that time. But at this point in my career, this opportunity has presented itself to me and I’m really looking forward my new Company, teammate! Soon I’ll reveal everything. Thank u again to Nemo and Agama.
