The 4th round of the Argentinian CABT Championship was held last weekend with around 80 drivers from all over the country in attendance. The Nitro Buggy A-main had Adrian Castro taking the win from Agustin Cutini. Avaro Colombo rounded out the podium in 3rd.

Made for the THECar White Edition 1/8th off-road buggy are the new hard compound front and rear suspension arms from JQ Racing. Using the parts in hot ambient temperatures will add stability and precision but the harder parts are also worth a try in normal temperatures as they can lead to a more stable feel of the buggy. The A-arms are sold as pairs for the front and the rear of the car.

Pro-Line have new monster truck tyres as well as a zipped hoodie available. Starting with the tyres, first up is the Interco TSL SX Super Swamper 3.8″, an all-terrain offering for Traxxas style bead wheels. Offering a licensed, scale tread the tyre comes in the soft M2 compound for providing excellent traction on a variety of surfaces.

Hobbywing have announced the signing of US racer Loran Whiting to their team. Loran is an avid nitro onroad racer with a busy racing schedule that included the European-based ENS series and the recent IFMAR Worlds in Thailand and for the 2015 season she will be increasing her program to include more electric racing following a season of electric touring car and 2WD buggy appearances. Using Hobbywing products Loran will also race in the 4WD buggy class in the coming season. She had the following to say:
I am very excited to join the Hobbywing team and am thankful for the opportunity to help build the Hobbywing brand. I have been racing for 12 years and have recently started to work on stepping up my electric racing. In 2014, I ran more modified electric touring car and 2WD buggy, with an expansion into 4WD buggy and other classes coming in the next year. I can’t wait to expand my knowledge alongside Hobbywing in the US and internationally. I am really looking forward to the 2015 onroad and offroad season.

Pro-Line introduce the Bulldog design bodyshell for mid motor racing trucks such as the Kyosho RT6 and the Centro CT4.2 as well as 1/8th Electron buggy tyres. Starting with the body, the mid motor Bulldog is based on the proven rear motor variant and features a new Mohawk down the centre of the roof that improves high-speed stability and adds an aggressive look. The front end geometry has also been reshaped and improved to achieve higher front down force and reduce wheelies that cost precious time. The body comes made from high-quality polycarbonate and it includes window masks and a decal sheet.

The latest addition to Team Associated’s Qualifier Series of sport-level vehicles is the ProSC 4×4 Ready-to-Run truck. Featuring all-wheel drive, a sturdy aluminium centre driveshaft, an adjustable slipper clutch, sealed gear differentials and 16mm fluid-filled coil-over shocks the truck is ready to tackle any terrain. Included with the factory-assembled ProSC also comes a 3S LiPo-compatible brushless driveset with a 550-size 4-pole motor and a splash-proof brushless speed controller. Around 100 drivers attended the recent Queensland State Titles held at the Logan Off Road Club in Brisbane, the same venue that hosted the Australian National Titles for 2014. Reds Racing’s Aaron Stringer suffered from missing the practice sessions and some of the qualifiers due to work commitments but come the 45 minute Truggy A-main Aaron got a great start and was in 2nd place by the 2nd lap, after coming from 8th on the grid. After a good tussle with SWorkz team driver Shane Freiberg, Aaron pulled away and never lost the lead winning by 2 laps in the 45min A-Main. Later the Buggy A-Main was the last race of the day and what a race it was, the lead changed a few times but in the end Aaron took a 2nd place behind Kyle McBride to cap off a great weekend.
