David Kukla takes 4WD Czech National title

The second and final round of the Czech 1/10th Electric Off-Road National Championship was held in Prague. Following the first round, run during the Summer on a clay outdoor track, the second round took place on a grippy carpet indoor track. After winning the season opener David Kukla was the pre-event favorite for the overall title in the 4WD class and he was able to put his buggy on the 3 spot after qualifying. In the triple A-mains David finally came in 3rd which was enough to hand him the overall title in the all-wheel class. Martin Bayer took the day’s win in front of Kaja Novotny. Marek Schiller and Milan Mudra rounded out the top 5 of the second round. In the overall championship Marcel Dostal grabbed the runner-up spot from Matej Sulc.

Xray XB8 2015 – Coming soon

Xray XB8 2015 – Coming soon

Xray announce the soon release of the 2015 spec XB8 1/8th nitro off-road buggy. With the 2014 version being well received within the nitro buggy community Xray had a hard time to improve the successful platform. This is what Juraj Hudy has to say on what is to expect with next year’s model:

I am very happy that during the year majority of the feedback and comments for XB8 were very positive and as such we have had a very difficult task with the 2015 improvements as there was not much to improve. The 2015 version of the XB8 will be the next evolution of the platform featuring a dozen of refinements and improvements making the car even stronger and better performing.

Alex Kosciuszek doubles at CISC

Wolcott Hobbies and Airsoft recently hosted the Connecticut Indoor State Championship. The track was fast with a ton of bite and a nice flowing layout and with over 18 heats the days were long, but fun. In the 2WD class, Team Associated/Reedy driver Alex Kosciuszek set the pace and he took the TQ to start the 6-minute main event. From the start of the race, “Alex K” battled with Team Associated privateer, Kyle Rhodes, but a few mistakes from Rhodes saw Kosciuszek extend his lead and take the victory with Rhodes in second. In the 4WD Modified class it wasn’t even close. Kosciuszek dominated the competition by being the only driver to turn 25 laps. In the main, Alex cruised to an easy win, taking his second victory of the event.
