The Yokomo Euro Touring Series resumes this weekend (9-11 May) following a 2-month break with the fahr(T)raum Museum, a homage to Austrian automotive pioneer Ferdinand Porsche, playing host to the start of the second half of what has been the most competitive start to the championship in its 7-seasons of existence. Situated in the Austrian town of Mattsee, the museum is home to unique automobiles from the 1900s and provides insights into the earliest days of automobile construction but this weekend it welcomes for the very first time some of the best drivers from the high tech r/c world of electric touring car racing for Round 4 of the World famous championship. MD Racing electric touring car – Teaser

MD Racing electric touring car – Teaser

Spanish company MD Racing have released first teaser images of their forthcoming electric touring car kit. The car is a mix of new and already proven ideas with the A-arms being of a pivot ball design over the more common C-hub/rear hub construction with suspension pins, while the upper deck is mounted vertically within the chassis. The steering is of an adjustable tail-type design and the bulkheads allow to remove the front and rear axle/differential without disturbing the shocks or shock tower settings as the shock tower brackets are part of the bulkheads and not the bulkhead covers. It is understood that the first prototypes are ready to hit the track in around 3 weeks. We bring you more information on the car as soon as they become available.

Protoform 200mm nitro touring car bodyshell – Teaser

Protoform have released a teaser image of their forthcoming new 200mm nitro touring car bodyshell. As it is the year of the 200mm World Championships we assume the body is specially designed for the somewhat smaller indoor WC track of Huge RC Project in Bangkok, Thailand. The most noticeable part of the body is the highly angled hood that sports several ribbings which are meant to increase front end downforce. With no other information available than the image the overall characteristics of the body are purely speculation but first production images and valid information should be available soon.
