More STRC Axial Yeti aluminium option parts

Following first a first range of aluminium option parts ST Racing Concepts have more upgrades for Axial’s Yeti off-road vehicle available. First up is the CNC-machined aluminium front skid plate/hinge-pin brace and HD steering bellcrank upgrade set that is made to improve the durability and precision of the steering. The set will replace all the stock plastic steering pieces with stronger and more precise aluminium parts. Also new is the front skid plate/hinge-pin brace for more durability around the front hinge-pin area. The set is available in black, gun metal, green, silver and limited edition red anodising.

Xray introduce the latest incarnation of their European Championship winning XB4 buggy. The 2015 Spec car builds on the successful platform and features a new 2-in-1 concept that allows to run the buggy with a conventional saddle pack or modern shorty LiPo battery layout right out of the box. Like the previous XB4’s the ’15 Spec car uses an aluminium main chassis that received some subtle updates to allow the use of both saddle and shorty LiPo batteries.

FTW B5M Reactor bodyshell

For The Win introduce their Reactor bodyshell for the Team Associated B5M mid motor buggy. Striking the optimal balance between aggressive down force and stabilising side force, the body offers a somewhat mild cab forward design and large side windows that make it stand out. For 17.5 Stock racers with motors geared to the ragged edge, a moulded air intake is included which, when bolted to the body with the included feather-weight nylon hardware, channels fresh air directly into the motor area and also the speed controller, if mounted inline. Included with the body come two Fulcrum wings, a set of window masks and a decal sheet.

Kim Nielsen wins at Aalborg Buggy Challenge

The Danish Aalborg Buggy Challenge was held at the flowing yet technical indoor track of Aalborg RC. During practice Mike Gosvig, Frederik Hovgaard, Kim Nielsen and Rene Jepsen were all showing very good pace and in the following qualifiers it was Rene Jepsen who took the overall TQ by scoring two round wins.

Exotek B44.3 10 degree alloy caster hub set

Exotek introduce a 10 degree alloy caster hub set for the Team Associated B44.3 buggy. The updated design offers vertical ball end mounting for quick roll centre adjustments by adding or removing spacers. The included 2mm spacers set the roll centre at the stock geometry with the 10 degree caster hub is set at the stock angle. Additionally the hubs offer adjustable steering arm lockout settings and an optional set screw placement against the hinge pin using a 4/40 set screw. The C-hubs are coming as pair, they are polished and anodised in factory blue and laser etched for easy left right identification.

Team Associated 61mm 1/10th buggy wheels

Team Associated announce the soon release of their new 61mm disc wheels for 1/10th scale 2WD and 4WD buggies. They are designed to fit the new generation of buggy tyres, they are light of weight, offer pre-drilled vent holes and a rough, textured gluing bead for enhanced adhesion. A glossy finish helps to prevent the wheels from staining over time. The wheels sport a 12mm hex design and are available as 2WD front, 4WD front and general rear wheels in white and fluorescent yellow colour.

LMR welcomes young Lewis Jones

With the recent addition of Lewis Jones LMR welcome another young talented driver to their team. Lewis has been driving for a few years now and he is getting better each year, in fact so good that he started kicking his dad’s backwards and in doing so, forcing him into retirement and onto the tools for young Lewis. Since then he has improved his driving and his maturity and for 2015 he will pilot an MBX7R along with the range of LMR’s products.

Nathan Waters wins at Silverstone Winter Series Rd2

The second round of the Silverstone Winter Series attracted a full entry in the main 2WD buggy class, on a high grip indoor astroturf track. Nathan Waters drove superbly to take the TQ and a convincing win with his Schumacher Cougar. Team mate Simon Moss set the fastest single laps by far but a couple of errors left him with too much ground to make up and he had to settle for 2nd. Associated driver Greg Williams completed the podium. The smaller 4WD class was won by new Schumacher driver Dave Burton.
