Nitro-West-Masters Rd3 – Report

Uwe Baldes, Melvin Diekmann, Marco Muscara and Stefan Schumann achieved class wins at round 3 of the Nitro-West-Masters which was held at the Rhein-Ahr-Motodrom in Bad Breisig. With 42 entries and finally 41 competitors attending the number of participants was slightly lower than at the previous rounds in Oberhausen (67) and Dueren (55). But that did not derogate the thrilling racing action and the great atmosphere though. The conditions on Sunday were perfect nearly till the end before some slight rain hit the track during the last ten minutes of the 1/8th main race.

BRCA touring car nationals Rd4 – Report

Round 4 of the BRCA touring car nationals took place at the fast and flowing Cotswold track located on Kemble airfield, UK. The first three rounds have seen three different winners which meant heading into round four the championship is still wide open. Saturday morning the drivers were greeted with very wet conditions but fortunately it would dry for round one of qualification. Olly Jefferies was able to keep himself close to the top of the time sheets in all of the qualifying rounds to eventually take pole positions after winning three out of five qualifying rounds with Chris Grainger taking second and Elliott Harper in third. Olly would also set the fastest lap and five minute time of the weekend.

Titan Blitz body height adjusters

Hayato & Kuwata win at JMRCA 1/12th nationals

Hayato & Kuroda win at JMRCA 1/12th nationals

This past weekend the 2014 Japanese 1/12th nationals were held at a purpose-built track in Fukuoka. The Modified class had Naoto Matsukura taking the TQ for the finals and it looked like the multi-national champion would make its 8th 1/12th national title in a row, but runner-up after the qualifiers, Ishioka Hayato denied him the title to take the 2014 championship. Hideo Kitazawa came in 2nd while Naoto Matsukura ultimately had to settle for 3rd. The Stock class had Takayuki Kuwata taking the TQ and win from Naoki Kuroda and Yamaguchi Tokusu.

Radtec T4 & BD7 steel drivetrain option parts

Radtec RC is a new brand for competition grade RC after market parts and the first products to hit the light of the day are a series of spring steel driveshafts and spool cups for the Xray T4 and Yokomo BD7 series cars. Available for the T4 are 52mm front and 50mm rear double joint driveshafts as well as steel solid axle drive cups. For the BD7 Radtec RC offers 45.5mm front and 44mm rear double joint driveshafts along suitable steel spool drive cups. Solaris Instant Glue for rubber tyres

New from Solaris comes the Instant Glue specially formulated for the use with rubber tyres. Used on Solaris’ pre-mounted spec and controlled racing tyres the CA glue is now available in 20g bottles, ideal for any rubber tyre come on-road or off-road. Included come several nozzles for easy application and a needle-equipped cap.

Another TQ run for Wilck at Hudy Arena

Viktor Wilck claimed a second TQ run at the season finale of the Yokomo Euro Touring Series, a result that means Tamiya is guaranteed to claim its first overall TQ honour of Season #7 at the Hudy Racing Arena in Slovakia. Following a 3-hour delay to proceeding due to rain in Trencin, on the resumption of the Ride Modified class it was again new tyres that determined the top of the timing sheets with Wilck heading a Swedish 1-2 finishing 9/10ths ahead of Xray’s Alexander Hagberg with Awesomatix’s Viljami Kutvonen third, with the best of those on used tyre being Marc Rheinard who ended up 4th quickest. Fastest in Q1 Rheinard, the last TRF driver to claim an ETS TQ & win over a season ago in Austria, is the only driver going into the fourth & final qualifier who can deny Wilck his 5th TQ.

Wilck heads Tamiya 1-2 in Q2

Viktor Wilck headed a 1-2 for the Tamiya Racing Factory squad in the second round of qualifying at the Yokomo Euro Touring Series at the Hudy Racing Arena this morning, the Swede topping the times from team-mate and Q1 pace setter Marc Rheinard. In a round that was all about tyre strategy VBC Racing’s Olivier Bultynck completed the Top 3, with the best performer on used tyres being Yokomo’s Loic Jasmin who posted the 8th fastest time.
