Serpent introduce a 27T aluminium idler gear for the Spyder 2WD platform. Machined from aluminium and coming hard-coated for increased durability the gear is a direct replacement for the stock composite gear in the SRX2 RM and MM and Spyder SC truck.

The Swedish 1/8th Off-road Cup was run last weekend at the technical multi-surface track of Höör. Rainy weather on Saturday morning meant the organisers had to skip the first round of practice in order to prepare the track. The qualifying saw a battle between Christoffer Svensson, Johan Balsberg and Kennie Ekenstierna with the better end for Kennie who scored two round wins and ultimately set the fastest time to take TQ.

The 3rd round of the Spanish 1/8th E-Buggy national championship was run at the dusty Sant Joan de Moro track. In the final Robert Batlle (Mugen) came out successful in front of Agama’s Dani Vega and Serpent’s Sergio Martinez. Tony Alcala (Serpent), Akejandro Daras (SOAR) and Dani Garcia (Serpent) completed the top 6 result.

The 3rd round of the French 1/8th off-road championship was run in Pertuis in the South of France last weekend. Kyosho’s Jerome Aigoin took the win from Renaud Savoya (Xray) while Julien Lattanzio (Mugen) came in 3rd position.

Italian airbrush artist Massimo Solazzo, better known as Max Airbrush, introduce an own line of bodyshells for 1/8th off-road buggies called Magma. Thoroughly developed and shaped to sport a distinctive “Italian” design, the body promises stability and enhanced handling characteristics and it comes made from genuine lexan material. The first Magma body will fit Kyosho’s MP9 line of buggies including the TKI2 to TKI4 with tailor-made shells for TLR, Mugen and Xray buggies being available soon.

Arrowmax have released a new carbon fibre chassis plate for the popular Yokomo B-Max 4 III. A direct replacement for the standard chassis it has been created to create more flex for low bite tracks and weights only 66g, instead of the original plate weight of 127g. Arrowmax have used a special Q-grade multi-directional carbon fibre, which generates more transverse stiffness compared to most other carbon fibre plates. A special honeycomb cooling area under the motor improves the airflow for lower motor temperatures.
