Hara fastest in first controlled practice

In the first round of controlled timed practice at the 1:10 Nitro Touring Car World Championships in Thailand it was HB’s Atsushi Hara who was fastest from team-mate Teemu Leino with KM Racing’s Dario Balestri completing the Top 3.  Fastest in free practice Capricorn’s Jilles Groskamp set the 11th fastest time but once again the Dutch ace was using the track time to work on a set-up for the finals.

Groskamp tops free practice in Bangkok

At the end of the second day of the 1:10 Nitro Touring Car World Championships in Bangkok, Thailand, it was Capricorn’s Jilles Groskamp who in the final round of Free Practice jumped to the top of the time sheets ahead of arch rival Atsushi Hara who was unable to better his best three consecutive laps set earlier in the day in FP2. With FP3 interrupted by heavy rain causing a long delay to proceedings, the penultimate qualifier resumed on a dry track however the traction built up over the previous runs was washed away with Team Xray’s Surikarn C the only leading driver to be able to improve on his previous best.

RC-Trim car & shock stands

RC-Trim introduce the latest release in the TrakGear line accessories, the aluminium car and shock rebuild stands. Starting with the car stands, they are available as 45mm height on-road and pan car variant and also as 80mm height 1/10 and 1/8th off-road stand. The third new part, the shock rebuild stand, features an assortment of holes to accept all standard and big bore diameter 1/10 and 1/8 Offroad Buggy, Truck and Short Course shocks. All are made from high quality 6061 aircraft grade aluminium, come with a satin black powder coated finish and four rubber feet to provide a stable station. Hara leads the way in Thailand

Making their 1:10 Nitro Touring Car World Championship debut, it is Team HB and Atsushi Hara who lead the way on the second day of free practice at the very well presented RC Addict track in Bangkok, Thailand.  The Japanese star, who now lives in Thailand and has his own pitroom overlooking the track, set the fastest three consecutive laps in the second of the day’s four scheduled 15-minute practice runs to head KM Racing’s Dario Balestri who had set the pace in the morning’s opening practice.  The fifth running of the bi-annual IFMAR event, this is the first occasion that the reigning champion will not travel to defend their title, a broken hand which is in cast forcing Ralph Burch to withdraw his entry.

KM H-K1 EvoII optional plastic pulley

KM Racing introduce new optional belt pulley for the H-K1 EvoII nitro sedan. Made from plastic the 25T belt pulley is lighter than the all-aluminium part and allows for easy part swaps due to the lightweight aluminium pulley mount. The mount is the same as the 23T pulley and must be used in combination with the HK390B-P middle belt.

Exotek TC6TEK dual bellcrank steering set

Exotek have released this dual bellcrank steering set with center mount servo holders and plate for the Exotek TC6TEK chassis conversion. Precision CNC alloy construction with ball bearings for dependable and smooth steering response. A triangular center chassis servo mounting gives rock solid servo mounting but frees the chassis to flex laterally evenly.

Spec-R R1 option parts

Spec-R have released a number of new parts for their R1 EP touring car. Joining the current trend, the first part is the red anodised centrally mounted aluminium servo mount to eliminate tweak improving chassis flex and balance. Next up is an aluminium belt stabilizer mount replacing the standard plastic version for improved strength. For adjustment there is a complete set of roll center adjustment spacers in 0.5mm and 1.0mm versions and finally there is red anodised spacers in 0.5mm, 1.0mm and 2.0mm versions.

Smokem 417CTR servo mount

The Smokem 417CTR servo mount is now available for the TRF417 and TRF417X. This servo mount allows the servo on your Tamiya to be mounted along the centerline of the chassis. By eliminating the outside mounting point it frees up front-end flex for improved steering. Furthermore this servo mount ensures symmetrical chassis flex in this area, for a more balanced steering response. The Smokem 417CTR Servo Mount is made from premium 7075-T6 aluminium and is anodized blue to match the rest of your TRF racing machine.
