Mugen Racing announce the soon release of the World Champion MBX7 Nitro Buggy in the Mugen pre-built M-Spec configuration. The M-Spec is pre-built straight from the Mugen factory with all the proper suspension, camber and caster settings pre-set. The shocks and diffs are factory filled with Mugen silicone oil and the body is already cut out and waiting for a custom paint job. The MBX7 M-Spec will be available in November of 2013.

LRP introduce the 2S 4300mAh Hyper Pack LiPo battery. Build from 30C cells the battery comes in a protective hardcase of oval diameter making it ideal not only for RTR vehicles but also to power nitro start boxes and many more. The battery comes prewired with a Tamiya-standard connector and EHR balancer port.

New from Azarashi comes the Erithus design body shell for the Yokomo B-Max2 MR buggy. It sports flowing lines, a classical mid-cab design and it makes for a predicable driving feel. The clear body comes including window masks and can be used on mid and rear motor converted buggies.

The Team Durango North East Indoor Champs will take place at the Maximus R/C Raceway in York, Maine on November2nd and 3rd. The race is held in 1/8th Open Buggy, 1/10th Open Buggy and several 2WD and 4WD SC classes and will see the attendance of World-class drivers such as Travis Amezcua, Matt Olson and Carson Wenimont along some of the best local drivers in Northern New England. Team Associated introduce new option parts for the Centro C4.2 conversion kit in the form of a rear aluminium bulkhead and a 2.5° rear hinge pin brace. Starting with the bulkhead, the part is CNC-machined from aluminium, it sports the stock geometry but a less bulky design compared to the kit’s plastic part for a sleeker overall appearance. At the same time rigidity is increased thanks to the stronger material which is ideal when racing modified classes. The second new part is the 2.5° rear hinge pink block that again is machined from high-quality aluminium and it comes black anodised. The suspension mount features 0.5° less toe compared to the kit 3° block for added straight line speed and a more agile handling on high bite tracks. Included with the block come suitable delrin hinge pin inserts.

This year, the Region 8 Championship race was held at Fastlane Raceway in Blue Springs, MO, near Kansas City. This years event ended up being around 150 entries and included several of the Midwest’s finest drivers. The track surface consisted of hard packed top soil and had medium grip. The layout was pretty cool and included an option step up in the centre where you could go double-double or single-triple. The race format this year was a little different from years past and included four six minute qualifiers with single eight minute main events. Qualifying was random order. There were four rounds and a total of 20 heats. After four rounds of qualifying, 2WD qualifying was very close. Taylor Larsen, Cody Hollis, Nick Gibson and Mitchel Gardner all TQ’ed a round, which left it up to the finishing orders of their other rounds to determine the overall TQ.

The 4th round of the Spanish 1/8th electric off-road nationals took place at the El Estrecho track. After qualifying Agama’s Daniel Vega took TQ, one second ahead of Alberto Garcia (Serpent) with Zacarias Villalba (Team C) completing the top 3. The main final had a great battle between Daniel and Albert to offer with the better end for the Agama pilot who also secured the overall championship due to the better tie-breaker result. With Daniel in 1st place Alberto Garcia came in second, Sergio Martínez (Serpent) completes the top 3. Zacarias Villalba ends his 2013 campaign in 4th place, Tony Alcalá (Serpent) finishing the championship in 5th place.

German RB distributors RMV Deutschland introduce the limited edition Blast V.16 engine. The long stroke buggy engine is of a 5+2 port design, features an ABC liner and piston, a hardened 14mm crankshaft with silicone insert and a 9mm carburettor with 7mm venturi insert. The orange anodised cooling head comes with a turbo combustion camber insert and the engine builds around a black anodized crank case.
