Matsukura is 2WD Top Qualifier at EOS

Japan’s Naoto Matsukura is the 2WD Buggy Top Qualifier for the TLR/Spektrum Euro Offroad Series Round 2 in Langenfeld, Germany, after the series debutant backed up his Q3 topping run with an even faster 5-minute pace in the fourth & final qualifier.  The Yokomo driver, who has never raced offroad on a carpet & wood surface track before, took Q4 ahead of Tamiya’s Lee Martin after both Joern Neumann and Dustin Evans with whom he was swapping the lead pace each made costly mistakes.

Neumann again in Q2

Day 2 of the ‘TLR/Spektrum Euro Offroad Series presented by Horizon Hobby’ got underway in Germany with the second round of 2WD Buggy qualifying with yesterday’s Q1 pace setter Joern Neumann once again topping of the timing sheets. The Durango driver produced a time of 14/5:05.631 to take the round by 4.5 seconds ahead of Yokomo Naoto Matsukura with TLR’s Dustin Evans completing the Top 3 on what was a much faster track following the overnight removal of a small roller just before the crossover which was causing problems for many of the record entry.

AKA sign Cavalieri & Tebo

AKA have announced the signing of current 1:10 Double World Champion, Team Associated’s Ryan Cavalieri and the re-signing of past World Champion, Team Kyosho’s Jared Tebo for the 2013 and 2014 seasons. Drivers of this caliber have their choice of tires to run and we could not be happier that they both chose to race with AKA tires for the coming two seasons. Both will play a vital role in advancing AKA’s 1:10 tire program in 2013 as well as improving AKA’s already dominant 1:8 tire program. AKA look forward to working with both Jared and Ryan to further advance our tire and accessory programs over the next two years.

X-Factory X-60CF stadium truck

X-Factory X-60CF stadium truck

X Factory have released their new X-60CF stadium truck, an all carbon fiber Conversion Kit which transforms an AE T4.1 or T4 into a mid-motor X-60CF. A second Kit is also available to convert an existing X-60 to the new carbon fiber version. The new X-60CF has been seen testing at races all over the United States for three months now, and Team drivers love it. Both X-60CF Kits are complete with everything needed to convert the T4.1 or T4 to the new mid-motor truck or to convert the X-60 to carbon fiber. The conversion for the AE truck includes the great JConcepts designed and supplied body. The Kit to convert an X-60 is the lowest price Kit X-Factory has ever sold because so many parts are carried over; most drivers will do this conversion in less than two hours. The T4.1 conversion usually takes a bit over two hours.
