PSM MBX7 CVD set & turnbuckles

PSM Racing have released some new parts for the Mugen MBX7. First up are these CVD Axles which are made of high grade 7075-T6 aluminium to reduce the drivetrain’s rotating mass. Weighing only 26g in total, this set is super lightweight and very durable. Also new is a complete set of aluminium turnbuckles made from the same lightweight material. They are a strong and super light replacement for your original steel turnbuckles and weighing only 8.6g is a good way to lower the center of gravity of your buggy.

Jean-Yves Konigs wins at Belgium Winter trophy

Jean-Yves Konigs wins at Belgium Winter trophy

The final round of the Belgium Winter Tropgy was held at the Black Country Arena last weekend. In the 4WD buggy class the title was up between Jean-Yves Konigs (Schumacher) and Cedric Nikell (Team Durango), both only separated by 8 points after four race weekends. None of the two drivers was able to secure the day’s race win but a fourth place just behind Cedric was enough for Jean-Yves to secure the championship title. Frederic Fontaine (Xray XB4) finished third overall behind Cedric with Jean-Michel Taijmans completing the top 4.

Thanks to Jean-Yves Konigs for sending the report.

David Ronnefalk wins Swedish VBC Cup

David Ronnefalk wins Swedish VBC Cup

Last weekend saw the final round of the Swedish VBC Cup that was arranged by Borås MRK. The main classes are 1/10 2WD and 4WD buggy who are driven on indoor carpet. The series was held over the course of six weekends with four rounds counting for the final rankings. The 2WD title was up between Kyosho’s David Ronnefalk and Team Associated/Advanced driver Niclas Månsson who were equal on points after the sixth round. The time keeper therefore decided to have a ‘Death Race’ between David and Niclas that was ultimately won by David handing him the overall series title in the 2WD class. David tried to copy his good pace for the 4WD final but struggled with setup meaning ‘only’ as second place on Sunday but the runner-up spot was good enough to win the 4WD class also meaning a clean sweep and therefore the ‘Supercup’ title for the young Swede.

Thanks to Pierre Ronnefalk for sending the report.
