Neumann Top Qualifier in 4WD EOS Buggy

Today has turned out to be a day for Offroad’s European Champions with 4WD Champion Joern Neumann wrapping up the TQ honours for 4WD Buggy at the Euro Offroad Series much like 2WD Champion Lee Martin did this morning in the 2WD Buggy class.  Driving his Speed Passion powered Durango DEX410, Neumann secured pole position for tomorrow’s triple A-Main at the Black Country Arena when like Martin he made it four TQ runs from four qualifiers.  Looking like he might complete the clean sweep, the German made a mistake in his fifth & final qualifier allowing team-mate Hupo Honigl to TQ the round which means it’s will be an all Team Durango affair at the front of grid.

Henry Salmén joins Team C

Team C distributor Euro RC announce the signing of Finish talent Henry Salmén. Henry will be racing national and international races using the TC02 Evo 2WD and T4 4WD electric buggies, Hobbywing Xerun controllers and motors as well as Gens Ace batteries. This is what Henry has this to say about the deal:

For the conclusion of last season, I began to realise that the speed limits of the former cars had been reached and it certainly was time to look for new challenges. When selecting the new gear, the cars of Team C were my number one choice based on race results from abroad and domestic experiences. Especially racing the 1/8 buggy races of last summer in Finland with a Team C T8 car made me a positive impression of the quality and swift product development of the factory.

Xray Column – From XB8 To XB9, part 2

The 59th installment in the Xray column from Xray owner and chief designer Juraj Hudy is now online. In this months column, Juraj gives a deeper look into the new XB9 buggy platform in particular the suspension and drivetrain design.

The correct and optimum suspension geometry and the flex of the suspension parts are of course very critical to the handling and performance of a car. For the XB9 we have used the same style and type of suspension which was well proven on the 808 platform, but of course a lot of testing and different prototypes were worked around.
