Daniel Carlsson wins at SSIC Rd2

The second round of the South Swedish Indoor Cup was held this past Saturday in Alvesta, Sweden on a tight track that was a big challenge for all drivers attending. In the Touring Superstock class, which was the biggest this weekend, it was Daniel Carlsson (Team Associated) who took TQ with over a lap to 2nd placed Christian Holmström (Xray) as Andreas Johansson (Serpent) came in 3rd. The finals saw Daniel leading the pack and A-mains to take the win in comfortable style. The mains also saw some great battles for the remaining podium spots with Christian taking the runner-up spot with solid driving while Andreas was battling hard with Per-Ola Hard to round of the podium.

2017 Asia Onroad Championship finale – Report

The 2017 AOC series has come to an end at Japan’s iconic Yatabe Arena this weekend after a great series that spanned five events over the 2017 season. Befitting an awesome finale, the drivers enjoyed high-grip carpet racing with a very deep and competitive field with many coming from all corners of the planet. This event used a double A-main format with the best result between the two mains counted toward an overall winner. Ties were broken by overall laps and best time.

T-Works EB410 aluminium centre driveshafts

Coming from T-Works and made for the Tekno EB410 buggy are two aluminium centre driveshafts. Available as 129mm front and 48mm rear variant the tapered shafts offer high strength and a low rotational weight for increased acceleration and braking performance. The shafts come black anodised, with white T-Works logos and they are available as separate items or combo set including both the front and rear dog bone drive shaft.

Speedzone LCG 2S 120C LiPo battery packs

Speedzone have added more diversity to their hardcore LiPo battery line with the release of two LCG battery packs. The first is a 2S 6000mAh 120C pack. It measures 139x47x22.4mm and weighs in at 292g. The second is a 2S 4300mAh 120C shorty pack. Its dimensions are 96x47x22.4mm and the weight is 194g. The low-profile design of both packs allow to further fine tune the handling characteristics of the car and both packs use standard 5mm bullet-type connectors.

Hot Race Tyres sign Fabrizio Teghesi

Italian company Hot Race Tyres have announced the signing of Italian frontrunner Fabrizio Teghesi. Fabrizio is well known in the industry for being a hard worker and for this reason Fabrizio will be not only be a new factory driver but was also appointed as Italian team manager. Fabrizio says:

For the 2018 I will be new Italian HotRace team manager and new Factory driver. I will do my best for Nicola and his company.

Rob Love trifecta at Midwest Indoor Champs

The 6th annual Midwest Indoor Championship was held at Genesis RC Raceway in Minnesota. The track layout was technical with multiple switch backs, a high speed chicane, and high bite black carpet. In the Super Stock Touring class Rob Love (Xray) had his car on rails and was able to secure the overall TQ. Rob was able to get off to clean a start in the main and never looked back. Eric Schneeweis (Xray) and Anthony Swift were racing some hard fought battles with Team Associated’s Eric Swanson and Cole Tollard. In the end Love would take the win with Swanson 2nd Schneeweis in 3rd.

Lefebvre & Kemper win at Gulf Coast Grand Prix

The 2017 Gulf Coast Grand Prix was held at Mikes Hobbytown in Porter, Texas with the race having attendees from all three coasts, California, Florida, and Texas. At the start of the GT8 final, Nick Lefebvre (Xray), coming from 4th on the grid, was able to move into 2nd within just a few laps trailing Marcus Williams who was leading. Marcus and his Serpent would need to make an extra fuel stop during the 30-minute main event. With 7:30 to go Nick made his last stop and came out of the pits just behind the leader. This would give Nick the gap he needed as Marcus was making one more stop and in the progress Nick was able to hang onto the lead and cross the line to take the win. Marcus would come in 2nd from Jeff Whiting (Serpent) 3rd.
