Chris Kidis dominates RCmaniacs Champs Rd5

The fifth round of the RCmaniacs Championship was held in Argos, Greece. The track was in very good condition although the weather wasn’t good. The fastest class of the weekend, Touring Modified saw Chris Kidis (Xray) having a fantastic racing day. Chris would bring home the win from Sotiris Diamadis (Xray) who tried his best to challenge Chris, while TQ Michalis Kyriazis (Xray) had to settle for 3rd overall.

Espinel & Bruck win at FORCE Series Rd7

River Rat RC Raceway recently held round 7 of the FORCE Series and it was Kayla Espinel (Xray) who took the TQ in the Intermediate Nitro Truggy class. From the tone Kayla would pull away and about five minutes into the race she already was a lap up. With clean and issue-free driving she was able to bring home the win from Xray teammate Jason Frank 2nd and Duane Sizemore (TLR) 3rd. Over in Intermediate E-Buggy it was Christian Bruck (Serpent) with the win from Brandon Denmark (Tekno) 2nd and Kayla Espinel (Xray) who rounded out the podium result in 3rd.

Adalberto Pinto takes 200mm win at Portuguese Cup

The Travessas track located in S. João da Madeira recently played host to the Portuguese Cup and in the 1/10th 200mm Nitro Touring class it was Adalberto Pinto (Serpent) who took a maiden win in the nitro class. Adalberto started into the A-main from the 10th spot on the grid following some issues in his semifinal but with a strong pace and on only a single set of tyres he was able to bring home the silverware from Frederic Santos (Xray) 2nd and Pedro Grandao (Xray) 3rd.

Shepherd Velox V8 WC Team Edition 1/8th on-road kit

Available now from Shepherd is the Velox V8 WC Team Edition 1/8th nitro on-road kit. The car is based off of the Simon Kurzbuch Edition kit and features all parts used by Simon Kurzbuch and Lars Hoppe at this year’s IFMAR World Championship in France that ended with an A-main appearance for Lars and the vice-championship title for Simon. The Team Edition kit includes a range of aluminium options to scrub rotation mass and add stability while brass weights help to lower the overall centre of gravity. A range of titanium parts further reduces weight and hard front suspension plastics help with drivability in high-grip track conditions. T-Works glow plug igniters

T-Works have introduced two new glow plug igniters. They are of a heavy duty design and are available with or without an indicating meter to check the battery’s condition. An all-metal construction the igniters will offer a high durability and they come without a battery.

Xray XB4 medium hardness chassis side guards

Coming from Xray and made for the XB4 series of 1/10th 4WD off-road buggies are medium hardness chassis side guards. Softer than the “H” parts the medium compound side guards allow for increased chassis flex which helps with overall side bite on very low traction tracks. The set includes a left and a right hand chassis guard and it is available now.

Yeah Racing digital crawler-spec steering servo

Yeah Racing have introduced a waterproof super torque servo for rock crawlers. The standard size servo delivers up to 20kg-cm of torque and it features a dedicated software that makes it ideal for all rock crawling duties. The dual ball-raced servo utilises copper and aluminium gears for durability and it is available with a red or blue middle heatsink section.

Serpent Project 4X Evo – Coming soon

A first image of Serpent’s Project 4X Evo 1/10th electric touring car has appeared on the internet. In use by the Serpent team during this week’s AOC in Japan, the Evo kit will feature a range of option parts such as the vertical top decks, the short link RRS system, and linear suspension components to name just a few. Rumours have it that also some integral parts of the car received an update to make for easier building, set-up and maintenance. Official information about all features should surface in time for the release which is scheduled for around mid-December.
