V-Dezign report from 1/12th Euros

…t-bar car with cells! Vesa and Andy both ran the new prototype Carpet Ripper 4.0 which will be out soon. Mark Stiles was also running the new Carpet Ripper 4.0, but could only manage 17th overall after experiencing problems during qualifying. Levanen & Moore top 1/12th Euros qualifying after Rd1

…Ahoniemi completed the top 3 for Corally. In the 10.5 pro stock class the locals have a Brit up front in the form of Andy Moore, the ex touring World champion heads up the field ahead of current European Stock Spec champion, Germany’s Marc Fisher driving a Corally. Chris Kerswell was third ahead of fellow brit Mark Stiles, both driving a V-Design Carpet Ripper, delighting team owner Vesa Yli who is here racing and on hand to assist. V-Dezign Carpet Ripper 3.0

V-Dezign have released details on their new Carpet Ripper 3.0, an upgrade kit for 1/12th scale racers who own either of the previous models CR07 or CR2.0. Associated Dynamic Strut, CRC Pro-Strut and HB front ends will fit (not included with the kit) and the usual IRS and CRC axles will also fit (not included). Stiles does the Double At BRCA 1/12th Rd1

Griffiths & Williams take Victory at AMC/CARS 1/12th GP

Chesterfield Auto Racing Society played host to a Grand Prix style 2-day meeting, with support from Action Model Centre. Both stock and modified classes were catered for, with just over 2/3 of the entry opting to run 10.5 motors in the stock class. In qualifying, new V-Dezign team recruit Russ Williams took a comfortable TQ with his new Carpet Ripper 2.0 chassis.
