Durango DNX408 carbon shock towers

Now available for the DNX408 buggy are these carbon fibre front and rear shock towers. Precision machined from high quality, super strong 5mm thick carbon fibre, they offer greatly reduced weight over the standard part. If both the front and rear towers are fitted to your buggy they reduce the weight by 24g, at the same time lowering the centre of gravity. Both the front and rear towers also feature additional shock mounting holes that allow you to mount your shocks further in on the tower. The rear tower also offers more camber link locations for further tuning options.

Ansmann's got Talent - Announcement

Ansmann UK got in touch to tell us about their ‘Ansmann’s got Talent’ program they will be running on the 11th of September at Southport Club (above) and on the 25th of September at Eden Park. They will be running a Free days racing which should be 3 or 4 rounds depending on how many turn up for this relaxed racing. Ansmann will be bringing a stall of products which you can see on the day. Ansmann representatives will be walking around the track and the pits talking to drivers and at the end of the day they will offer some drives for the coming season. They are also going to give away a race car to the person who they feel deserves it the most. Remember, they are not just looking for good driving but good representation of their products and the drives will be at club, regional and national levels. All you need to do is bring your racing stuff and enjoy the day and hopefully at the end you will have a sponsorship for 2012. If you are a Nitro driver then just bring you radio and receiver and they will get you going with a car to try for the day.

Renaud Savoya confirms Durango departure

Renaud Savoya confirms Durango departure

Three time European Champion Renaud Savoya has confirmed to us his departure from Team Durango in an exclusive interview with Red RC today. The French man joined the team at the end of last year following 3 ultra successful seasons with Mugen. Having announced his move to the US late last year where he was expected to be a strong contender, he struggled to find pace with the car all season and this continued to his domestic series where he could only net himself a handful of podiums. Last month a below par showing at the European Championships in Germany where as reigning 3 time champion he failed to make the final for the first time further highlighted the ‘Shark’s’ struggle to adapt to the car. Talking to Renaud at this race you could tell that he was looking for change and so with today’s confirmation he has left the team he joined just 9 months ago.

Durango DNX408 +2mm Adapters & updated fuel tank

Durango DNX408 +2mm Adapters & updated fuel tank

Durango have released some more new parts for the DNX408 starting with these wheel adapters that fit either the front or rear of the car to increase the width of the buggy by 2mm on both sides. Increasing the width of the buggy increases the stability. Use these on the front to increase the stability of the front end of the buggy, or the rear to increase the stability of the rear end of the buggy. Also new is a revised fuel tank which has an integrated splash and overfill guard, preventing any fuel from spilling over onto the steering servo. The back pressure inlet has been also relocated to stop fuel from being aerated during refueling. The tank is made from a clear material, allowing great visibility of the fuel level in the tank and also features an integrated fuel filter to stop and dirt or debris getting passed into the engine.
