For the World Champion D8 buggy, Hot Bodies have released this 7mm engine mount set. Ensuring the proper engine height when using your 3mm chassis, this 7mm engine mount coupled with the 3mm chassis brings the engine back to stock height. The stock chassis is 4mm and stock engine mount is 6mm.

We got sent a sneak peak of the prototype Mugen MBX6E car. It features a longer chassis, two-piece slide adjustable motor mount and optional 3mm or 4mm motor mounting screws. Well balanced with a large radio box and dual or single battery holder, the car is very stable and has excellent steering. Team driver Travis Amezcua will be running one at the upcoming Electric Nats at the NorCal hobbies track and team driver Dylan Rodriguez will be driving his at the upcoming Thunder Alley Gas Champs at Thunder Alley Raceway. Team C have shown off CAD images of their newly designed 2wd buggy, the TC02C. Unlike their previous TC02, the 02C sports a mid mounted motor, bring the weight more to the centre and changing the torque characteristics in the process. The car will come in 2 versions, one that can accept stick packs and the other than can accept saddle packs. Expect it to be ready by the end of October.
Seen back in August the Punisher body by JConcepts for the B4.1 is now available. Debuted at the 2010 ROAR Off-Road Nationals, the radical new body stares you down like a trained fighter. The slight cab-forward treatment is amongst the most aggressive in class giving the Punisher top notch performance. Blended wing / body design gives additional down-force to the side-pods and windshield which increases drive-ability, corner speed and jump control. The rear base of the cab area represents the latest offering for 1/10th buggy racing featuring a super low profile design for increased air flow, escape and body placement. In addition to the newly designed body JConcepts has included 2 of the popular 6.5″ wide high downforce V-wings that are commonly used around the world.

For R/C racers, Labor Day weekend in Minnesota has become RC X-Fest weekend. For the 6th annual event, many of the fastest drivers in the world converged in Cambridge, Minnesota for a weekend of excitement and no-holds barred entertainment. With an event known for a multitude of classes and special events, the RC X-Fest has become something to remember for all participants. Ryan Maifield was in Minnesota to do business with his JConcepts equipped RC8B and RC8-E. Ryan was at the top of the field all weekend included TQing the E-buggy class and qualifying 2nd in 1/8th buggy. However, it didn’t come easy as the bumpy surface provided a challenge for the experienced driver from sunny Arizona.

Schumacher have announced the released of these two new option parts for the Mi4 and Cougar SV chassis’. The Schumacher Team have been testing these items for some time and they are this 37mm 4 groove carbon fibre link mount (top) for the Mi4 that gives a longer upper camber link, especially good on high speed circuits. The other new part is the 60mm carbon fibre link mount bracket for the Cougar that shortens the front camber link, reducing front end bite.

The Hansa Cup is made up of three 1/8 offroad buggy and truggy races during the season and earlier in the year Furulund in Sweden and Schietmeister in Germany hosted the first two rounds. Last weekend the SOS club, south of Copenhagen, hosted the final round. Drivers from Sweden, Germany and Denmark arrived Friday to a wet SOS track but the club put a lot of effort into draining and making sure the rain could not prevent a great race. TQ in buggy went to the young and very talented Kyosho driver Martin S. Hnansen, but unfortunately Martin had to retire from the semi final with a broken servo. Pole for the final went to Peter Harder who also made the fastest laptime of the weekend, doing a 37.000 second lap. For the final the track had some very bumpy sections and a clean 45 minutes run would not be a easy job. The grip was very high and the right tire choice and shock setup for a bumpy track, but without traction roll, was key. The final had 5 Danes, 4 Swedes and 1 German. Peter with his Novarossi powered Xray took the lead and would hold on to this throughout the final, but not far behind was Swedish Xray driver Simon Boklund and Mugen driver Mikael Palsson. In the end Peter took the victory, while the overall 2010 Hansa Cup title went to the Swede, Mikael Palsson.
