JConcepts Illuzion Hi-Flow RC8 bodyshell

Seen for the first time at last month’s Nitro Challenge in the hands of race winner Ryan Maifield, JConcepts have now released their new Illuzion Hi Flow 2.0 body for the Associated RC8 buggy. Special consideration has been made for the Hi-Flow 2.0 body in regards to the air filter, side guards, battery box and extra clearance around the throttle and brake linkage, and thanks to JConcepts, the Illuzion body is also a drop fit and requires no hassles when installing or removing the body. Race inspired aggressive styling, Illuzionized cab and durable design are just some of the features that make this new body stand out.

Miguel Matias joins GS Racing

GS Racing have announce that Miguel Matias, 7x Portuguese National Champion, former European Champion and multiple European and World Championship podium finisher, has joined GS Racing as their newest factory driver and company representative. The long time Kyosho team driver has already been testing a prototype of the new Storm CLX buggy, providing feedback and contributing to the development of the car, in anticipation of the April 2009 launch date. Miguel will attend local races, as well as major races worldwide, concentrating on the Euro Champs 2009/2010 and Worlds 2010.

ST Racing Concepts Traxxas upgrades

New from ST Racing Concepts are a number of anodized optional parts for the Traxxas range of cars, including the Slash. They have teamed up with one of the best manufacture in the business and MIP’s multiple World Championships and National Championship winning design CVD can now be part of an important upgrade to your Traxxas Slash. The new C-CVD style design eliminates the original set-screw over drive pin design and instead utilizes a unique screw-on outer C-Ring that captures the drive pin in place. The CVD bones are also constructed of larger diameter for even more durability and comes complete with a pair of beefy steel diff outdrives as well. Also works on Nitro Stampede and Nitro Rustler The company also offers a heat treated polished steel lock-nut style hinge-pin kit, which will solve the problem of the stock hinge pins backing out of the A-arm. CNC Machined from high-quality steel, it is then heat treated to increase durability and then polished for ultra smoothness, nylon insert lock-nuts at each end of the hinge-pin prevents the pins from ever coming loose. Finally, just for looks, there are these CNC machined aluminium front body posts, with multiple body clips holes to adjust the front body height, and available in 4 colors – Black, Silver, Red, and Blue, to match any paint scheme. JConcepts Bar Code buggy tires

JConcepts have released their Bar Code design buggy tires in blue compound. Like the name suggests the alternating bar design provides uncompromised support for blue and black groove conditions. Designed for maximum performance when new or used as the design allows even wear all the way down to the tire body. Bar Codes in new condition excel on hard surfaces that have taken rubber with either dry or wet grooved conditions. Pure Six – Mugen MBX-6

Proline Cup Denmark report

We received a report from the Proline Cup which took place last weekend in Vejle, Denmark, the first time in many years there was a buggy race held indoors at a sports centre. There was 5 classes in total 1/18, Monster Trucks, Stock/beginners Starter, 2WD and 4WD. The track was a combination of carpet and smooth cement floor which took the competitors a little while to get used to, but was a fun challenge and the jump was built in wood and was a little squared and not quite natural, but worked well without crashing the cars.
