Speed Passion Cirtix Slotless sensored BL motors

Speed Passion Cirtix Slotless sensored BL motors

Speed Passion have introduced their ‘revolutionary’ Cirtix series of 1/10th and 1/8th scale slotless sensored brushless motors. Bridging the gap between the raw power and high efficiency of a slotless motor design, and the zero cogging smooth low end of a sensored system. The best of both worlds is now here for any mod 1/10th offroad or onroad vehicle, or 1/8th buggy and truggy. The Cirtix motor series features all the incredible power and efficiency of a slotless motor design, which means more power, longer run time and less motor heat in any mod 1/10th application, as well as stronger and smoother braking. These efficiency gains no longer have to come at the expense of common sensorless ESC cogging at startup and low speeds, as the Cirtix motors are the first slotless motors compatible with any sensored ESC. When combined with Speed Passion’s newly redesigned sensored 1/8th scale ESC, the Cirtix 1/8th scale motors provide all the brutal horsepower needed in any 1/8th scale application, as well as the accuracy and control of a cog-free sensored system. Both of these new motor lines are built to ROAR legal specs, and approvals are pending at this time.

AKA introduce the Wishbone

AKA introduce the Wishbone

AKA have announced the new Wishbone tire, which brings years of 1:8 tire technology to indoor racing. With indoor 1:8 racing becoming more and more popular it only made sense for AKA to enter into the 1/8 indoor tire market. After months of testing with drivers from all over the country, they have created a tire that features a dense center Wishbone lug design that helps give the tire both great forward and side bite. The tire features a carcass design with stiffer sidewalls and 3 radial ribs on the inside of the tire to keep the tire more stable with the softer AKA compounds. Available in medium, soft and super soft compounds, pre glued on yellow or white rims or as just the tire.

Phil Sleigh joins Team Associated

Phil Sleigh joins Team Associated

CML have welcomed Phil Sleigh to the Associated team for 2010. The former X-Factory driver brings with him a wealth of experience having been racing at national level for many years. The last couple of years have seen Phil move up a level and take his first national victory. Phil will be driving the Associated B4 & B44 cars with Novak Electronics and had this to say about the deal:

Joining the CML team to run for Team Associated is an awesome opportunity. Both the B4 & B44 are proven race winning chassis’ and I hope to use this to produce consistently high National results in both 2WD & 4WD. The team have already been great with set-up help and I’m sure I’ll be taking advantage of the vast AE experience within the team through-out the year. I’ll be running both the Novak Ballistic motors and the soon to be available new Kinetic speedos and from early running the Novak equipment provides excellent power and smooth delivery. I have also taken the chance to switch to running Savox servos, which have become a very popular, affordable and high performance option used by many top racers.

Phil’s racing plans for 2010 include all off-road Nationals, the Euros in Vienna and competing in the Mid-West Regionals.
