Last week we briefly wrote about the dominance of JConcepts/Team Orion driver Ari Bakla at the recent 2007 Australian EP Nationals held at Maitland NSW. Well now thanks to our reporters down under, RubeDude, we have a full report from that event along with lots of pictures.
This weekend saw the Nordic Xray Challenge run on the newly renewed Hilleröd track in Denmark. The event which was open to all makes of cars attracted a large entry with drivers from many different countries making their way to the event, which thankfully took place under sunny skys. British driver Jon Hazlewood was the man setting the pace in qualifying but in the main final it was Xray driver Robert Gustafsson of Sweden that took the win with Hazlewood, also racing for Xray, in 2nd, while 3rd place went to Lars Alex Jensen driving for Kyosho.
GS Racing have announced the release of this RTR version of their 1/10th 4wd Stadium truck, called the Shadow ST1R. This truck retains the proven suspension system from the original ST1, but sports new high quality race differentials, while the car is powered by a high torque GS R18ST engine. All these changes combine to make a great performing car, while for looks the car is topped off with a pre-painted “Korn Designs†body.
Yokomo have released some details, althought only in Japanese so far, about their new SD12 TR truggy. This rather robust looking car is electric powered and despite how you may judge it based on its front wheels, is in fact 2wd. All the other details about this 1/12th scale car are unknown to me, but if you can read Japanese which i know some of our readers can, please post some info into the comments section for this story.
Neo Buggy have uploaded two videos from last weekends Pro Line Indoor Challenge in which German driver Joern Neumann took the win for Thunder Tiger. The video above shows the battle between early race leader Scott Hughes and Joern Neumann while the video below shows the very start of the main final.

Our site partners, Neo Buggy, have today brought to our attention the news that Axe Rossi may bring Richi Gomez to court over breach of contract. As we wrote before on our site, Richi, who had signed for Axe Rossi at the start of the year in a high profile team launch, was spotted only 2 months later at the Silverstate race running an RB motor and again at the first round of the Spanish Nationals (above) earlier this month. Neo Buggy cite disagreements between both parties prior to the Silverstate event as the reason for the split. Richi had signed to race RB motors only 4 months before signing for Axe Rossi and is quickly building himself a reputation as being unreliable to sponsors.
RB Products, the French engine makers, have announced the release of their new RB Concept C6BB 7T 3.5cc buggy motor. This new engine has made thousands of hours of testing at the hands of RB team drivers to prove its new turbo combustion chamber, which improves the overall power of the engine, and 7mm venturi to help improve traction, which all comes together to provide a wide power band with incredibly smooth acceleration. With these features, the fuel consumption drops and the drivability is increased, especially on low traction tracks.
