Xenon EP Buggy ride height gauge

Japanese company Xenon, who are present at the World Championship in Thailand, showed us one of their new products designed for the electric buggy market. The clever ride height gauge has been machined from a piece of black anodised aluminium, with a hole down the centre to reduce height. It works in a similar fashion to their innovative ride height guage in that rotating the tool gives it different heights to measure. Simple and effective, it can measure ride heights from 21mm to 28mm.

Chris Doughty wins BRCA Micro Nats Rd3

Round 3 of the BRCA Micro National series took place at the WRCC track recently and it attracted the biggest ever entry at a Micro Nationals event. The finals were run over 2 mains, both of which counted, with any ties on scores decided by fastest single race time of either final. Mark Styles with the LRP Shark-18 took the win in the 1st final with Chris Doughty in 2nd place, while at the end of the 2nd action packed final Chris Doughty found himself in 2nd position again but this time with Mark Styles in 3rd place and this meant that both Chris Doughty and Mark Styles had same total points. In the end a tie had to decide the winner and thanks to a very quick 2nd main, Chris Doughty took the win with Mark Styles in 2nd place, while Chris Bottle took 3rd.

X-Factory X-60 new body complete

Last week we brought you the first X-60 body shell photo and today we have received more new photos of the X-60 conversion kit from X Factory. These photos show the new body in its entirety mounted on Paul’s truck. The X-60, expected to be on the market in about three weeks, converts the AE T4 into a mid-motor truck for improved handling in corners, over bumps, and in the air. Team driver Brian Kinwald said:

This thing is awesome. No other word needed. Awesome. It looks super-cool and is faster than any truck I’ve ever driven. All four of the Team trucks were dialed at the Reedy Race. Jeremy Felles put his in the Show with two great qualifying runs. Alex Krieg’s truck was just stuck to the track. My X-60 was super-dialed. In qualifier 3, a back-marker took me out while I was on a TQ run. We worked very hard on this truck, changing everything several times as we went along to make it perfect. Like, we tried five different chassis lengths until we got the one that works best at most tracks. The whole thing has taken lots longer than we thought, but, trust me, it is worth the wait. And now we’ve got this incredible body! Totally dialed!
