Announcement - JConcepts and Associated B44

Just as the title says – On July 10, TTR/Associated announced the upcoming release of the new B44. This new vehicle is based on the BJ4 Worlds Edition and was a collaborative effort between TTR/Associated and JConcepts. The B44 was a collaborative project only. JConcepts remains an independent company, and our business will not change as a result of this collaboration. Both Jason and Brad have ties with Associated going back 15+ years. This has led to a close working relationship between Associated and JConcepts on the B44. JConcepts will continue to sell the BJ4 kits, parts and accessories to support new and existing customers. Look for more new and exciting products from JConcepts to fit the B44 and all Team Associated vehicles.

Novarossi release budget engine range

Novarossi have developed 5 new engines under the Nova engine brand which have been specially developed for drivers on a budget who require a durable engine that produces a good amount of power. The sleeves of all these engines feature 3 transfer ports and are made from brass with a hard-chromed layer that reduces wear, while the crankshaft is very strong and delivers provides good power delivery. On offer are a 3.5cc circuit engine (N21-3T), two 2.1cc circuit engines with slide (N12TS1) and rotary (N12TSR1) carburettor, a .12 engine (N12ST) for 1/10th stadium trucks and finally a budget 3.5cc buggy motor (N21B-2001BF).

Team Associated B44 4wd buggy

Team Associated have just announced their expected entry into the ever expanding 4wd electric buggy market with the upcoming release of the B44. Available in September, the new B44 is based on the JConcepts BJ4WE platform but features some small changes to make it easier to mass produce as well as some small performance improvements throughout, such as to the cars slipper clutch and of course as its from the Factory Team, it will feature lashings of blue anodising.

Hickerson & Eckert win FSORS Rd8

We received a report from top CEN racer Gene Hickerson from the 8th round of the the FSORS, which is one of the largest series in the USA, that sees 6 of the 8 rounds count towards the Championship. This final round of the series was hosted by the Hurricane R/C Club in Tampa and this round attracted 152 entries in both buggy and truggy classes.

Robert Gustavsson signs for Losi

Team Losi have announced that they have signed a multi year deal with the Current Nordic Champion, Robert Gustavsson, to race their Losi 8ight buggy and truggy. Robert’s addition to the team is aimed at increasing the companies race presence in Europe, which up until has been very limited at the highest level, and Roberts first race with his new sponsors will be at next weeks 2007 European Championships in France. Robert leaves behind Xray with which he had a very competitive spell, winning many nationals events as well as taking the 2007 Xray Challenge race held earlier this year.

More Illuzion bodies from JConcepts, this time for the Kyosho Inferno MP777, it comes available in either standard or heavy duty polycarbonate. This WC body features enhanced hard edge side pod styling with runner flow channels on the sides designed to move the air more efficiently to the wing.
