Hard Racing updated Magellan Bag

Hard Racing have introduced the updated version of the popular Magellan transport bag, now available with a durable internal plastic box instead of the cardboard version used previously. This bag has been designed for transporting 1/8th offroad buggies, but also works well with many other types of car. The case itself is light, durable and weatherproofed to keep your items stored safely in harsh track environments or wet conditions, while the base has been reinforced to add strength, improving the bag’s ability to carry heavy items.

JJ Wang joins Sweep Racing

Korea based Sweep Racing have made the announcement that they have signed up Chinese American driver JJ Wang to use their on-road products and cooperate to develop tires, testing and promote the brand as well. The current US National Champion in nitro onroad, where he drives for Mugen, in electric he runs Xray and with his recent move to California we can expect to see him run more races in the US as part of this development work. JJ had this to say:

I want to thank Steve Kong and Sweep Racing for this opportunity. Now that I am based in the US where Sweep is a well-known brand, I hope to contribute to Sweep’s on road racing product development.

Reedy Zappers Hi-Voltage Modified Shorty LiPo

Reedy’s new high voltage Shorty Zappers are here. Perfect for use in modified classes, a 7.6 nominal voltage means that with a suitable charger, the battery can be safely charged to 8.7V (4.35V/cell) and its no secret that more voltage equals more power, so there is no easier way to achieve a performance advantage than a higher charge voltage. A 70C rating reduces initial punch for modified class racers while still producing a flatter discharge curve to close the power gap between the beginning and end of a race. JConcepts RC8B3 & RC8B3e carbon options

More new carbon fibre optionals from JConcepts for Associated vehicles, this time for the popular RC8B3 & RC8B3e. New front and rear shock towers are made from lightweight, yet durable, 5mm thick carbon fibre and features all the stock mounting geometry in a more compact package. Reinforcement ribs have been added where needed for additional strength. For the front of the car there are new 3mm thick carbon steering arms. The design team has pin-pointed the exact geometry locations of the steering arms and created them in the durable and light-weight material. The items are symmetric in design layout but countersunk on the top and can be neatly installed with the standard kit hardware. Finally, the team at JConcepts has added a rigid carbon fibre steering rack, which is countersunk for the standard kit screws and includes 5 separate holes for ackermann adjustment. The rack weighs in at ~3.25 grams and comes packaged in a re-sealable bag for authenticity.
