BRCA GT12 World Cup 2017 – Announcement

The BRCA have announced the GT12 World Cup 2017 to be held from the 10th to 12th of February. The event will be run in the same location, The Centre:MK in Milton Keynes, and to a similar format as the Reedy 1/12 Race of Champions hosted earlier in 2016. More than 100 registrations have already been made by competitors hoping to secure an entry, but the BRCA welcome further interest so as to guarantee a high standard of racing by selecting the best drivers possible to fill the 100 places. Capricorn reveal Lab C803 1/8th nitro on-road kit

Italian company Capricorn have revealed first images and information of forthcoming Lab C803 1/8th nitro on-road car. The vehicle is based on a redesigned aluminium chassis with a 3mm shorter wheelbase than the current C802 and it comes with all-new Ergal parts, a new rear end that is basically an evolution of the RS system and the suspension utilises new eccentric inserts for the lower A-arms allow for a wide range of settings. Also included in the kit is a new wire-type front anti-roll bar. The kit is rounded out by new eccentric bushings for the front and rear spool axles and it will become available by the 20th of October.

Coming from Dragon-RC is a pre-mounted set of tyres for 1/8th truggies. Offering a fine pin tread for great traction on most surfaces the tyres come as pairs, factory-assembled including white rims, foam inserts and they are ready for use.

Utah State Championships – Announcement

Murf’s Intermountain RC Raceway will play host to the Utah State Championships November 3rd through the 6th. Home of the April Fools Classic, the famous clay racing surface will have a fresh layout for this event. The schedule includes a round of seating practice on Thursday evening, one round of qualifying on Friday, three rounds of qualifying on Saturday and the mains on Sunday. There will be a resort of qualifying after the second round for anyone that can’t make Thursday’s seating practice round. Categories run include Modified and Stock Buggy, Truck and SCT as well as 1/8th E-Buggy. More information including the schedule and rules can be found here.

Avid release new B6-series titanium option parts

Avid have introduced a range of titanium option parts for the Team Associated B6 and B6D buggies. First up are titanium battery posts that are of a very minimalistic and lightweight design. Weighing in at only 1.2g per set the mounting hardware allows to lower the battery brace by 0.5mm for those slim packs and included in the set come two billet 6AI-4V titanium posts and a pair of 7075-T6 aluminium nuts.

Yokomo machined 64 pitch pan car main gears

Coming from Yokomo are machined 64 pitch main gears for 1/10th formula and 1/12th scale pan cars. Made to achieve maximum trueness the gears offer very high precision, resulting in maximised acceleration, top speed and run time. The 18-ball main gears fit most pan cars with ball differential and they are available as 92T, 88T and 76T variant.

Agustin Rodriguez takes Spanish Nitro Touring B title

The recent final round of the Spanish Nitro Touring Nationals was hosted by the Carsol Elche club. With a second place behind final round winner Antonio Gonzales, Agustin Rodriguez would take the Championship B title. Pablo Lopez completed the day’s A-main result in third.
