Team Losi Nitro Off-Road Winterchamps

Adam Drake Losi Winter Champs

Last weekend saw the Team Losi Nitro Off road Winterchamps held at the Hurricane RC Club and until now, information has been annoyingly difficult to get hold off. The racing saw Adam Drake continue his winning streak taking the Factory Gas Truck class and the Truggy class but the main news from the event was that The Drake didnt win buggy, a slip up on the last lap saw Mike Truhe take the win.

The innaugural running of Team Losi’s new nitro nats saw some sticky weather, changing track conditions and lots of intense racing action. Team Losi was in force (of course), and the CEN crew made it to the show as well as other notables including Axial’s Paul Coleman, Associated racer JR Mitch, J Concepts hero Jason Ruona, and Kyosho’s Ryan Eckert.

You can see the top results from the main classes here… content

New Crono buggy, not RC8

Team Associated RC8

Two days ago we showed this picture and asked if it was the new Associated and well what we know about the new RC8 pretty much ruled it out, like the fact that it uses C hubs and will come with a somewhat radical wing and body. So now there has been a lot of guessing concerning this picture, myself included, and it seems the front runner is that this is the new Crono and comparing it to a picture of the RS03 would seem to confirm that.

Is this the Team Associated RC8?

Team Associated RC8

Our mate Philip over at Neo Buggy has a spyshot on his site and although he’s not giving too much away on what manufacturer it is from, you have to ask who is left to show their entry into this class besides Team Associated. The upcoming RC8 is eagerly awaited and while it will contain some parts from the Thunder Tiger buggy, it should be all new. When we find out more we will let you know.

UPDATE: We have been reminded that the new Asso will be released with C-hubs and this car doesnt appear to have them. Damn, so that means we are no closer to finding out who this car is from, perhaps Crono?

oOple builds the Tamiya TRF 501X

Tamiya TRF 501X by oOple

Red RC isnt the build and review type of site, we like to just carry product and racing news and other interesting bits but we always make an exception for when oOple does a build and review article, they are the absolute best you can get. This time round Jimmy has built the all new Tamiya TRF 501X and as usual he has gone into all the fine details and pictured everything along the way and then compared it to other similar cars on the market, not only all that but he has thrown in an interview with team driver Hubert Hönigl too.

Just check it out here and while your there check out the TrakPower 4900mah LiPo review too.
