Arrowmax 1/10th touring car setup system

Arrowmax have a new setup system for 1/10th touring cars available. Offering an industry-standard design but with Arrowmax’s signature Honeycomb twist, the system allows to easily adjust the camber and toe settings on touring cars for a more reliable chassis setup. Ball races allow for precise and ultra-smooth movement while laser-etched markings make reading the settings easy. Included is also a precision-cut polycarbonate toe plate for toe setting and steering throw adjustments as well as four thumb nuts to conveniently fix the wheel axles to the camber plates.

TRR RaceStuff TRF419 carbon fibre main chassis

German company TRR RaceStuff have an updated carbon fibre chassis plate for the Tamiya TRF419 available. Offering a slight re-design compared to TRR’s previous chassis the plate is cut from 2.2mm high-quality carbon material, it is of a 100 percent symmetrical design and offers milled out pockets for the motor, main gear and the differentials. The chassis was successfully used by Christian Donath to score Pro-Stock A-final results at the three recent ETS events in Italy, Austria and Luxembourg.

Reedy’s SC600-BL brushless speed controller is water-resistant for maximum reliability and features a compact footprint that allows for easy installation in most 1/10th scale vehicles. The controller is standard equipment in many of Team Associated’s 1/10th scale RTR vehicles and it also comes in handy for first-time drivers thanks to its ease of setup and forward/brake/reverse operation while offering precise and reliable throttle and brake control at the same time, making the speedo a choice for experts also. The ESC comes pre-wired with a low-resistance T-plug connector for the battery and 3.5mm motor connectors.

JConcepts Bar Flys 60mm buggy tyres

JConcepts have a new bar-type 1/10th buggy rear tyre available, the Bar Flys. Based off of the successful Bar Code V1 the newly designed tyre offers a reduced overall tread height and a blended tread/carcass section. In-between the slotted bars, tiny Pressure Point size pins were added for increased surface area. The micro-height of the tread transitions out to the all important side-wall area where the team has maintained position of the original “Cactus” feature but have also positioned a new V-joint feature to support the lateral load of high-speed circuits. The Bar Flys are built on the 60mm bead and carcass design making them interchangeable with all 60mm/2.4″ wheel combinations. The interior ribbing features the double-hatch pattern that helps maintain a comfy ride while each set of tyres includes the Dirt-Tech closed cell inserts. The tyre is available as 2WD front, 4WD front and 2WD/4WD rear variant in various compounds.

Protoform Cadillac ATX-V.R 190mm bodyshell

New from Protoform comes the Cadillac ATS-V.R 190mm touring car bodyshell. The full-scale counterpart is the third generation of V-Series race cars and built to international FIA GT3 specifications with the Protoform body being officially licensed, offering ultra-realistic looks for racing in classes such as USGT, GT10, and Spec Grand Touring. The 2-door coupe race body is formed from genuine .030″ Lexan and it includes injection-molded wing struts to support a unique rear wing design. The wing features two different levels of trim, a 10mm vertical section for sanctioned USGT racing and a 20mm upper laid-back trim for club racing, making the body suitable to any kind of GT-class rules.

Japanese 1/8th Nitro On-road Nationals – Report

The Japanese 1/8th On-road National Championship was held last weekend at the Keitune Circuit, home of the 2013 World Championships. A total of 41 drivers attended including guest drivers from Australia, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Italy, and Thailand. Among them where 9-time World Champion Lamberto Collari as well as Worlds finalist Carmine Raiola. Heavy rain on Friday made for only limited track time and this especially hampered the foreign drivers. Thankfully the weather was good for the remainder of the weekend, allowing for six dry qualifying rounds to be run. Defending champion Shinnosuke Yokoyama (Mugen) took TQ with current FEMCA Champion Syoki Takahata (KM) taking 2nd, and Michihiro Takayasu (Hot Bodies) coming in 3rd.

Losi 1/14th Mini 8ight RTR AVC buggy

Losi’s 1/14th scale Mini 8ight RTR buggy is now also available with Active Vehicle Control technology. Based on the design of the ROAR National Championship winning 8ight buggy the condensed Mini 8ight offers a 2.5mm hard anodised aluminium chassis, sturdy suspension components, oil-filled aluminium shock absorbers as well as front and rear metal gear differentials. The factory-installed 4500kv brushless motor and LiPo-compatible Dynamite speed controller give plenty of speed while the new AVC system helps to keep the buggy under control even in the most severe situations. The buggy is available in two different designs and the package is rounded out by a genuine Spektrum DX2E radio system, a 6-cell NiMH battery and a suitable wall charger.

Tamiya Nissan GT-R LM Nismo & TT-02S Type-S

Coming soon from Tamiya are the Nissan GT-R LM Nismo and the TT-02D Type-S kits. Starting with the Nissan, the full-scale car is the company’s LMP1 contender for this year’s 24 Hours of Le Mans race and a pretty special machine as the GT-R LM Nismo is a front motor/front driven vehicle. Tamiya’s 1/10th scale kit unfortunately does not mimic this setup but uses a pretty standard F103GT rear wheel drive pan car chassis with rubber tyres. The included Nissan bodyshell is a multi-piece affair with separate rear fin and rear wing as well as a comprehensive decal sheet.
